-IN THE SKY-

Infuriating. That was the only way she could describe the Gods. It was so easy for them to admit their wrongs, almost like they didn't care. She'd destroyed everything in her path while walking out of the room. Sure, she had acted like an child, but she needed to let that anger out.

It hadn't done much, though. Now she paces her room in the Underworld, stuck between the tall, four walls with the feeling of suffocation. She whispers a mantra, squeezes a stressball, tries to think of anything to bring her back to center but it's to no use.

Sparks shoot from her hands, and the Goddess immediately shakes them out before folding them tight. If she didn't get a grip, she could end up blowing up the entire palace.

Persephone calls from outside the door once more, only to get ignored again. She barely understood her own mind, let alone one of a teenage girl. Persephone didn't know how to help Evangeline in this situation.

The young Goddess presses her palms over her ears, the world suddenly becoming too loud to bear. Her dress is itchy, the room is too warm, and the carpet is too soft. Her chest begins to rise and fall with greater pace and weight.

Reaching into a sachet, she digs out a gold coin and takes a deep breath before tossing it in the air. The offer is accepted, mist and rainbow appearing shortly.

Golden like the sun, he comes to fruition. His brows furrowed at the sight of her. "What's going on, Pretty Girl?"

Clarisse LaRue would complete the quest for the Golden Fleece. Dionysus made the call which explains how ironic it was. Nevertheless, the girl would be leaving immediately and camp would be left to wait for her return. If she returned at all, that is.

As things died down and people left to settle into bed, Percy returned to cabin two with a plan. And if there were any absolute fact about the Poseidon boy, it would be that when his mind was set on something, there was no changing it.

Ducking under his bed, he fishes out his book bag and double checks its contents. Supplies are a little low (midnight snacks always get the best of him).

Percy stalks over to his desk and pulls the drawer open, several granola and protein bars awaiting him. He shoves a handful in the big pocket. Next are some band-aids (even though he'll never use them), and a pack of tissues for just in case

As he goes to close the drawer, something catches his eye. A picture. One he shoved in there and eventually lost track of.

He remembers it like it was yesterday. Annabeth and Grover wanted a beach day, so naturally, Evangeline and Luke tagged along.

Annabeth squinted at the tripod. "Are you sure it's on?" She asked.

"Yes, I put it on for twenty seconds so we would have enough time."

"I don't think it's on," the blonde shook her head.

Just then, the indicator light began rapidly flashing. Everyone scrambled into position: Grover and Annabeth next to each other, and Evangeline between Percy and Luke. The light flashes one more time as she stares up at her golden boy, cheesy smile glued to her face as he met her gaze.
