-SEA OF MONSTERS-

Tyson was a lot of things but attentive was not one. So, when he accidentally let go of the canister for his lack of attention, he knew he messed up. Everyone was furious. Partly at him, but mostly because they didn't know what to do.

The boat had began to slow down, eventually stopping in the middle of the ocean. For sons of a Sea God, both boys were terrified of of unknown, deep waters.

Those unknown waters suddenly become choppy. The liquid sloshes, beating against their raft and rocking the passengers side to side. Annabeth instructs Percy to use his powers but it doesn't work.

Evangeline tries her own. And to no avail, the boat doesn't move.

Sharp, white objects pierce the surface, circling the raft and coming close to popping it. "Shit..." Annabeth curses under her breath.

She doesn't have to say much for the Goddess to understand where this is going. "Please tell me this isn't happening," her head shakes fiercely.

     Annabeth nods, grunting. "It is."

"What is?" Percy questions, now on even higher alert.

"We're in the Sea of Monsters. Mortals call it the Bermuda Triangle. It's why our powers don't work, it's beyond Poseidon's domain and my own."

     Tyson groans. "Great, we're screwed!"

"Not if we can find a way out."

But there is no way out. More teeth begin to surface before they're faced with the terrifying reality of a mouth.

"It's Charybdis!" Annabeth calls out. "She guards the Sea of Monsters!"

The raft begins to move with the swirl of the ocean. There is no escape. No way to get out of this mess. The group holds on tight and hopes for the best as they are swallowed whole. Their screams fill the dark tunnel as they fly down.

They grip the handles of the raft, praying to all the Gods that they make it out of this alive.

A ringing hits Evangeline's ears. "Who just prayed to me?" She yells.

     Tyson grunts. "Sorry!"

"What did you think that would do?"

     "I don't know, I'm panicking here!"

A thin wall of iridescence begins to open. They peer into the stomach of Charybdis before crash-landing inside. All quest-mates scatter when they hit the stomach floor.

Evangeline narrowly misses a plank with a nail sticking out of it. She quickly stands and dusts herself off. Anger boils within her. "This entire this is so fucked. I am so telling Circe about this," she screams. "Do you hear that? Count your days. You're lucky I don't turn you into a turtle!"

Evangeline didn't have the ability to turn the creature into anything. Her threat hand't gone unnoticed, though. Charybdis makes a sound before the stomach contracts, a fresh wave of swallowed treasure beginning to flow.
