Pov: Y/N

I woke up in the morning, noticing that Jotaro was already gone. I looked around, still very groggy.

- Where did he go...?- I muttered to myself before getting out of bed. I checked the bathroom, but he's also not there.

I let out a small sigh, quickly changing from my pyjamas and heading to look for him. I didn't want to wake anyone up, so first, I left the hotel. And that was a clever move, as I found him sitting on a bench outside, with Iggy sitting by his leg.

- Jotaro?- I stepped closer to him, noticing how tired and resigned he looked.- Hey, what's wrong?

- We've got only two, maybe three days left... We won't make it, Y/N... We failed...- He spoke with anger clear in his voice. His upper lip twitched angrily, and my expression hardened.

- Listen here, Jojo. We've got this far, and we've got Dio right at the reach of our hand. You can't give up. Not now. I won't let you, you hear me?

- Stop with that motivating talk.- He almost growled out those words, his gaze sharp and dangerous as he looked back at me.- We have no idea how to find his fucking mansion and we don't have time to search it like the last few days. It'd be a damn miracle if we managed to find it today.

- So, you want to just throw it all out and stop trying?- I asked with a huff, my arms crossing over my chest.

- I don't know what to do anymore, alright?! I just feel helpless. I haven't slept most of the night, waking up a lot of times because of nightmares. I don't want to lose my mother, and goddammit, I can't lose you...

- Then don't give up now, you idiot...- I gently cupped his cheeks, turning his face towards mine.- I believe in you, remember? We'll get through this together. To the very end, no matter how tough it'll be.

Jotaro just fell silent, staring into my eyes. I can see the exhaustion on his face, and my heart twists in worry. I don't say anything more, and just hold his face gently. Lately, Jotaro has those emotional crises quite often. When I first met him, I thought there was nothing that could break him. But this trip clearly did so.

- I'm here with you... I was the whole way, and I'll always be, no matter what happens between us...- I whispered, hoping those words would soothe him. But it doesn't seem to work.

- You always repeat it. But in fact, you're just as helpless.- His words were harsh, as he pulled away from me.

- What broke you so much all of a sudden? Or did you feel so bad for a long while?

At first, there's no response from him, as he sits silently beside me. I don't press further, noticing how his back tensed. But then, he spoke up.

- I'm just getting more scared with each passing moment, knowing we're running out of time. My mother is dying and I can't do anything about it...

- I know how you feel... I watched my mother die in the hospital after she had a car accident. But you're wrong about one thing. You CAN do something about it. Don't lose hope, and keep going forward. We've got this far, even though the circumstances were rough. Nothing is impossible for us now.

- Fuck... How can you be so sure about it...?- He asked, his expression thunderous.

- I just won't let you give up. If on this world is anyone who can stop Dio, it's you.- I then leaned in and kissed his temple, hoping it would soothe him.- Stay strong... Please, just a bit more...

He fell silent again, his body tense. He's clearly fighting with his own thoughts, and I don't know how to make it better for him. I sit close, my hand resting on his back in a supporting gesture.
