He smirks at me. "You are beautiful young Rose."
I narrow my eyes. "What do you want?" I clench my fists.
He clicks his tongue at me. "I wouldn't try anything. Look around." I look around at all of my friends. Someone lingering around every one of them ready to kill at any second.
I look back at him. "You have my attention."
He smiles. "Did you think that the seeing spell would work?" He chuckles. "Im smarter than you Rose."
I laugh. "Just cause you are older doesn't mean you're smarter."
He grits his teeth. "Just surrender your power Rose and this can all be over."
"Over my dead body." I look to my right. Hoseok stands staring deep into Chiffrons soul.
Chiffron smiles. "Hoseok so nice to see you. You would make a great pet for me."
I giggle. "Funny. It almost seems like I'm taking all of your pets these days. First Gail and now..." Kato walks up to my left.
Chiffrons face falls. "Kato..."
I lean forward. "Looks like I'm the one who's a step ahead this time." Chiffron starts to yell. I smirk. "Abi sis." (1) In a flash the man in front of me smiles and fills my cup with punch. Those around my friends go back to normal. I sigh. "That was close."
Kato sighs. "He's definitely not done with you."
I shake my head. "He never will be."
Hoseok frowns. "What do you mean?"
I look at both of the men. "I either give up my powers, die fighting for them, or kill the entire dark council." I look up at them. "Any suggestions?" They look at each other and shake their heads.
Hoseok sighs. "Im sorry I got you caught up in all of this."
I place a gentle hand on his cheek. "Don't think for one second that you did any of this. It would have happened eventually with or without you. I've never been safe. This is who I am."
Hoseok takes a deep breath. "Well looks like we have a war to start preparing for." I nod.
I look over at Kato. "You ok?"
Kato nods. "Ya. Just hard."
I nod. "I know. This is what we have to do. To keep us all safe."
Kato nods. "Let's round up the crew. Time to go home."
