As soon as Cassidy steps outside of her jeep she notices Rafe with his arm around Sofia on the top balcony all his friends over and the yard a mess he has a red cup in his hand of what she assumed to be alcohol

She marched up the stairs to his bed room balcony and pushed Rafe slightly "You used again" She said only loud enough the three of them could hear not the others on the balcony

"Why do you care" Rafe says pushing Cassidy back "Get out of here Cassidy" Rafe says making Cassidy back up almost bumping into a random guy "Huh I guess you really do like Rafe still after two years or maybe your pussy just needs attention go ask JJ Maybank I'm sure he will oh right he's dating Kiara see no one wants you" Sofia says making Cassidy get embarrassed

How could Rafe like a girl like that a girl who would bring someone down for wanting to help him a girl who would say mean things like that and just assume things

"I can't believe you Rafe and you Sofia I had him first remember that" Cassidy said then walks away not caring who sees her or heard it she couldn't be there any longer her and JJ were like siblings and she did have Rafe first Sofia had no right to say any of that

As soon as she got in the car Rafe ran out looking for Cassidy's car as soon as he spots it Cassidy turned the car on making Rafe run over to her

"Cassidy I'm sorry for what she said" Rafe said making Cassidy feel the tears start to go down her face making her feel like a loser "I didn't leave because I wanted to I left because I had to" Cassidy said as she wiped her eyes making her mascara messed up "I love you Rafe I will always but maybe we were the past I gotta go and keep your girlfriend in line because next time I will swing" Cassidy said then drives away leaving the house she once thought of like a home just like John B's

Cassidy will forever love Rafe he was once the one for her but maybe they weren't meant to be in the long run

The next few days Cassidy hung out with the pouges mostly distracting herself from Rafe no matter what she thought she would always think about him she thought of him everyday for two years and didn't see him at all and when she came back it wasn't anything like she expected

She expected him to run up and kiss her and later get married and have kids but that didn't happen she lost him and maybe it was forever

But now it was midsummer which meant every Kook had to go JJ had to work it same as Pope and John B was going with Sarah and Kie always went with her parents meaning Cassidy would have to go or stay home on a Friday night by herself

What was better her staying home drinking old beers or drinking fancy wine with her best friends

Cassidy wore a dark blue dress that hugged her body all over it was sparkly all over and went to her mid thigh it made her dark tan skin pop

Her hair was her natural wavy hair with two braids mixed in her hair with tiny bows at the end of the braid and last she put on gold heels to match her gold hoops and gold necklace

As soon as Cassidy stepped outside where everyone was at she could feel the intense energy something that happened every midsummer but normally she had Rafe or JJ but today she had no one they all had other people

Cassidy was soon waved over to by an older couple who she only seen during Kook events they were both sweet but loved to flash money

She then was waved over by Toppers parents who are sweet people too they raised on ok son but he's not the best but Rafe wasn't the best too

Then her eyes landed on Weezie who she hadn't seen since two days before she left Weezie was smaller then she looked more grown up she was by now 14 and looked like she changed her style

Cassidy excused herself and walked over to Weezie hugging her not even giving her a minute to notice who it was

As soon as Cassidy let go Weezie's face lit up making Cassidy want to cry "Cassie" Weezie announces bringing her in for a hug again

"Hey sweetie" Cassidy says as she pulls her to a spot that was easier to hear her "I miss you why haven't to been around" Weezie says making Cassidy's smile fade "I had to move for awhile" Cassidy said

After about ten minutes Weezie left to go find her friends making Cassidy alone again she watched at JJ and Kie danced and John B and Sarah

The alone feeling set in that feeling she hadn't felt since she got back soon she would be alone John B and Sarah would marry JJ and Kie would Pope would take over his dad shop it would leave Cassidy alone having nothing

She left her family in Florida her new friends and her friends kept going on with life when Cassidy left she couldn't blame them for that like she couldn't blame Rafe for finding a new girlfriend

Cassidy then got pulled away she didn't notice JJ and Kie arguing she was lost in thought like normal he thoughts that kept her awake for days when she moved or her thoughts that made her not say goodbye to Rafe that night or her thoughts that told her to block Rafe and everyone in outer banks so she could live a life without them

"Why did you tell Kie I am cheating on her with you I didn't cheat and you know I only like you as a sister" JJ says like he's gonna punch something "What" Cassidy says nog knowing what he's saying "You told someone I am with you and they told Kie I'm not with you" JJ says making me give him a weird look then he huffs "Of course you told someone that because you are alone because Rafe chose someone over you because you have no one" JJ says and walks away leaving me standing there about to cry
