You tried to suppress the laugh that was starting to surface. As you held Phil's hand and rested you head on his shoulder you thought of Dan which helped you act better. You thought of his sarcastic jokes and when he would try to start a conversation with you in the shop and... "What are you doing?!", says Dan for behind you. Dan had finished the groceries and came to Phil's room to tell him that he had bought the wrong cerial. You let go of Phil's hand and stare at Dan. 'What am I going to say? What do I do?'
"Dan... hi I umm... it's not what you think it is! Phil and I-", you try to explain but he storms out before you get to tell him.
Dan's POV
'How could I think that a pretty girl would like me? I'm an idiot. She's obviously much more into Phil. Maybe that's why she wanted to hang out with me... so she could get closer to Phil and when she said 'I like you', that was probably a lie. I don't know why she'd lie about that but it was a lie, obviously. Right?', he thought as he stormed out of the room and ran outside. When you saw this you instantly forgot about Phil and chased after him.
Y/N POV
'Dan why do you have to be so... so... I don't even know. I wish you'd just listen.'
You finally find him and he's sitting on the ground. You take a seat next to Dan. He looks at you with confusion. You break the silence and say, "Dan I-"
"No just go away and be with Phil."
"Dan! I told you I like you. Why would I want to be with Phil?! Even if you saw us holding hands... why would you doubt me?!" The both of you get up as this conversation started getting heated.
"Doubt you?! Doubt YOU?! You and Phil we're holding hands and I was outside the door listening to every word and you sounded way to serious to be lying."
"I guess you didn't see the camera then? Phil only asked me to film an april's fools video with him where I was his fake girlfriend and I was thinking of you while I was holding his hand. I was thinking of you the whole time while I was filming that video!"
Dan's POV
'Oops I'm such a dork.'
"Look y/n... I'm really sorry I-"
"Dan... don't, just don't. I should go now anyways. I'll go get my things."
