Casma POV:
It's been a somewhat active month. Well for Art, not so much for me other than learning my limits with Sao. Since she's almost a high spirit I can use any spell that doesn't consume most of my mana, which makes sense, I mean I don't have much mana as somebody who just awakened. Since then, however, I did learn mana rotation from Art while he continued to go along with my plans to awaken Lilia and Ellie much earlier than they were supposed to. He spent more time putting mana into the both of them and spending more time watching over them.
During his time doing this, I would spend time in my room working with the spirits. I learned that the spirits started to trust me a little more since my contract. I'm still focusing on my use of water since it's the only one I have a contract with, but if I need small things like a little bit of light some newly made or relatively new fire spirits would help me. This would be a huge boon to me since no other full elf can use fire. This led me to the idea that I could use mana similar to those I read, as long as I had the power for it, which means I could figure out how to use aether given enough time.
It's only a possibility since none of this has been confirmed. It was stated that those who have deviant powers are descendants of the Dijin, which means there is a possibility that I could learn it. I don't need it like Art does nor do I require it for any reason other than it transcends any of the elements. I only need enough to manage the smaller things like the teleportation circles. Using it for combat would be too much for me.
"CAS, you in there." I could tell it was Ellie from the other side of my door yelling.
"Yeah, give me a second, I'm putting my shoes on now." Everything has gone exactly as it did in the book. I've kept away from the main points, even making sure I wasn't here when Cynthia arrived, I would save dealing with her for later. I showed my face when the Twin Horns showed up but took my leave just as quickly.
Tonight, however, is one of the events that I can't just leave alone though, it's a moment that sets the human's eyes on Art. I need to find a way to have the night go progressively smoothly. I just have to remember the assassin that shows up midway through. Shouldn't be hard to provoke that one guard. I laughed as I opened the door.
Standing beside the door was a girl my age. She wore a simple grey dress with a necklace, small but noticeable piercings in each ear, and her hair done in a bun with part of the bangs left out so that it swooped down past the right side of her face. I still viewed her as a kid but I still found her current look cute.
"Did I keep everyone waiting?"
"No, Mom, Aunt Tabitha, and Lilia are ready. We're just waiting on you boys." She replied. I sighed already knowing that they were going to be the last ones. Even though I know what's supposed to happen everything is still surprising when it happens. I'm bored knowing what happens, which is why, I can't wait to start my plans to change everything.
I started walking to the main entrance when I felt an arm wrap around mine. I stopped and looked over at Ellie. I looked down and sighed, "Do we really have to do this."
"You promised that if I worked hard on forming my core you would. I'm only doing what I earned." She puffed out her checks and looked away.
I couldn't hold in my laughter, "You really are strange sometimes."
"You're the strange one for saying this would be my reward." She still wasn't looking at me.
"Says the one who was excited about said reward." I chuckled. As we came to the staircase I could see Mother, Tabitha, and Lilia all waiting by the door.
"I see Ellie got one," Tabitha said.
"I think it's a given that she would get Casma first. Oh, and look there even arm in arm, you might want to make sure that Art and Rey don't see you two like that. They might cause another war." Mother joked but stopped as she realized it could become reality, "No, please only do that in private... wait no, ugh, I'll keep them both in check." She held her hand to her head as she realized she was about to be a babysitter on a night that was supposed to be fun.
