Percy's POV
It was a time of celebration, a time to be happy.
Yet somehow I couldn't.
Sure they gave me godhood, sure they gave him a place on the Olympus council, as well as these domains.
But if anyone knew anything about me, it's that I would give it all up in a heartbeat. Sure I loved being a hero, fighting for what's right, defeating what is evil and protecting my friends and family.
Like any person, however, I wanted to live a normal life. Go to school, spend time with my family, be with the girl I loved.
"I loved" I laughed to myself slightly.
I gazed aimlessly at Manhattan from the edge of Olympus, when I felt people surround me.
Hazel, Frank, Jason, Leo and Piper each sat beside me.
"What's up guys," I said with a smile, although I probably did not sell it well enough because Piper frowned.
"No need to put up an act, we spent a lifetime in a flying ship fighting off evil while flying across the world" Hazel said sitting beside me.
"We know Annabeth was with us on the Argo, but just know it doesn't make anything she did right" Piper said in a reassuring voice.
"I mean come on, your like a god now, an Olympian and such, you can have your pick with anyone" Leo said before being sent a withering glare by Piper, giving him the cue to stop talking.
"Not helping" She said
For once he genuinely couldn't help but smile. Truth be told he was feeling a sense of anguish and sadness, but they weren't many people in the world he would rather have helping him get through it.
"Truth be told Percy, I know your gonna be sad and threes not much we can say to help you because we know what she meant to you, but you also always advocated for the there to be better rulers. For us to be heard and acknowledged by our parents, for all those minor gods and other peaceful deities to be free" Frank started
"And you actually have a chance now to accomplish all this" Hazel finished.
"Don't forget us while you sit on that throne" Piper said with a smile.
"No seriously, the gods could not have chose anyone better" Jason said to which Percy nodded his head in thanks.
Despite being son's of elder gods, being compared at both camps and being envious of each other, Percy and Jason became almost as close as siblings. Truth be told, we may still be envious of each other from time to time, but the love and respect they had for each other outweighed any differences they may ever have. They both appreciated each other's abilities, and their contributions in both wars.
"So you want to join everyone else" Leo said signaling to the party.
"I will, eventually" I said with a smile.
As they left, I considered going with them, despite feeling slightly better with the words his friends spoke, he still was not quite up to celebrating.
