A New Critter ✔

Chapter 3

 CatNix's POV.

I grabbed a new sheet of paper to draw on, I looked at the one Crafty hung up. It was a picture of an apple, " Whatcha making Hoppy? "  I asked, she looked up at me " A Clay basketball. "  She responded, I nodded suddenly DogDay walked up to me. " Hey CatNix? Can we talk outside of Home Sweet Home, for a second? "  I shrugged and walked out with him.

DogDay sat down on the floor of the porch  outside of HSH, I did too. He looked at me with nervousness. " Yeah DogDay? "  I asked cautiously " Me, Crafty, and CatNap have decided to see if you could learn magic again. If that's okay with you of course! "  I nodded slowly  " CatNix? You okay? "  DogDay asked " Yeah I'm okay. But, uh, yeah that's ok! "  I smiled at him " I'll get CatNap to bring the book then! " 

CatNaps POV:

I sat on my cat tree, feeling lonely. Suddenly DogDay walked in. " CatNix is ready to learn her magic. "  I nodded, from past critters I had a few books for magic. I walked towards a shelf near my cat bed, and grabbed a book. " Enchanted Ventures...lesson 1.. " I sighed as remembered the old smiling critters who used to own this.

I walked toward the porch, book in hand, took a deep breath and walked towards her. " Oh... hey CatNap. "  She said tiredly  " I've got the book. Here, this should hopefully help. "  I said handing her the book.

CatNix accepted it and looked at it. " This was a old smiling critters book, the last owner entrusted me with it..before.. they.... Killed themselves.. "  CatNix looked up at me, and stood up " What happened..? "  I looked away, this was one of the last things I wanted to explain..

" Their name was Sparkle Light. They worked alongside DogDay in leading the smiling critters. Her job was to keep the good vibes up, making sure no one was down..! That's until.. one of their old playmates, in Playcare, was murdered by the experimenters.. they were heartbroken. DogDay tried his best to cheer her up, but nothing worked. I sadly walked in on her stealing a gun, bringing to her head... and.. bang.. .....they shot themselves.. to end all their suffering..I witnessed it all... " 

CatNix's POV

I wiped away tears that fell from CatNaps eyes. " This happened a long time ago, when we Smiling Critters were just starting out in PlayCare.. "  He said, I pulled him into a hug, and filled his ears with caring messages. CatNap let go of me, and smiled " Thanks CatNix.. "  I nodded.

I opened the book to the first page to see three names in there. " Sparkle Light, Stary Pool, and CatNap. "  I read, i grabbed a pen that i kept with me, and wrote my name down, right under CatNap's. Show I was the next user of this book.

Later in CatNap's room, I settled into one of the cat beds, CatNap had set up for me. He laid in another one next to me, he focused on a little toy we had found. I had my nose in the book CatNap gave me. I looked over at him before closing the book, and sizing down to plush form.

" Hey CatNix, before you doze off , I'll warn you, DogDay has keys to every critters room. "  I nodded, CatNap went back to pawing the toy around, and I let sleep take me over..

A/N: HEY HEY! River here!! Sorry for a short chapter the next one will be longer I promise! And I'm finally on SPRING BREAKKKK 🥳🥳🥳. Sadly slower updates will come I'm afraid! My state test is coming  pretty soon. So slower updates! They will get faster after April 12th though! Hope you understand!!❤️❤️
