A New Critter ✔

Chapter 4

DogDay's POV

I walked into my room, and shut the door. It was about nine PM, so most critters were asleep. I looked at the little shelf of keys I had near the door, and grabbed the one with a moon at the end of it. I switched off the light and stepped towards the dog house, and laid down in it, sizing down to plush form in the process. Tomorrow will be fun.

I awoke from my slumber and sat up. I looked over at the " who's making food today? " chart I had made a month ago. It was a Tuesday, meaning CatNap was cooking. I grabbed the key to his room and giggled. I walked out of my room and down to CatNap's. Bobby was awake, she handed me an air horn.

" I know who cooking today, please hurry. "  She said, I grabbed it and unlocked, the door next to Bobby's room. I silently opened the door to see the Cat's sleeping in different beds next to each other. I held up the air horn, walking up to them slowly before...

CatNap's POV

A loud blare invaded my ears, me and CatNix both jumped, I jumped on the one who did it " CatNap! Get off of me!!  "  The figure yelled, I realized it was DogDay, and stepped off him, and nervously laughed. CatNix was on the cat tree, wide eyed. " It's okay to come on down, Catnip. "  Her face flushed at the nickname, but she came down anyway.

We both sized up, I frowned at DogDay " Yes? Why did you need to wake us. Oh and uh sorry for pouncing on you.. " I said " It's your turn to cook breakfast for us today, and it okay! "  I nodded and walked out to the kitchen.

While making eggs and toast, I thought about what has recently happened. I used to be so distant with the others, even with the little hint of social anxiety following me. When CatNix came I felt this weird feeling, I felt.. happy! Every time I'm around her, I just want to take her into my arms, and... and.. just have a great time! Wait.. am I.. falling for her..? No, no, we're just friends!  But.. we.. . Maybe I am in love.. 

My thoughts were interrupted by, CatNix grabbing things to set up the table. I turned off the stove, and set a bit of food on every plate. Then called everyone down, tired critters walked into the room, and sat down. We enjoyed conversations about our dreams, and what we planned to do today as we ate. That's until..

The alarm went off.. 

CatNix's POV

" What's happening!? "  Crafty asked covering her ears, DogDay stood up and signaled CatNap to follow him. They both ran out, I tried to calm them down quickly. " We should head back to our rooms.. no the art room! Yeah let's head to the art room! Come on! "  I said walking towards it the others followed me, and we piled in.

Kickin, and Hoppy both has butterknives just in case, Picky, Crafty and me, grabbed pencils that were freshly sharpened, Bubba had a hard cover textbook with him, and Bobby had nothing since she didn't want to get included in violence.

Chatter spread around, as I tried to quiet them " PLEASE BE QUIET! "  I yelled the chatter died down and they all stared at me " We need to devise a plan, just in case we need to save CatNap, and DogDay. "  They nodded, we sat in a circle and started discussing ideas.

DogDay burst through the door as we were discussing " Intruders! In playcare... caught.. CatNap! Need help....!  "  He panted I ran up to him, helping him stand " Really? "  Picky asked worried, Kickin got his knife ready, so did Hoppy. DogDay nodded, Slumping down and catching his breath.

I growled and bared my teeth. I hadn't felt this way in years. But.. CatNap was special to me in a way.. I loved him. And I will not let any person hurt him. We ran out of Home Sweet home, looking around Playcare for CatNap. No sign. I began to feel anger and sadness build up inside of me, leading to a unreadable expression. I will save you CatNap. No matter how many intestines I have to rip out.

CatNaps POV

I woke up in a cage, two semi-humans with some type of animal feature on them, surrounded me. I had felt weak and unable to move, I realized I was drugged and chained up, " Wow so this was Charlie Hoodman? Or another one. "  " Another one, I'm sure, Mal. I'll assure you it's not another game character. "  Mal nodded. Who was Charlie? Also another game character? Who are these people.?

" Say, Mal. Hows the job holding up for you, void traveler? "  The other one said, Mal shrugged " It's going fine, Terry is giving me the mission to save another game character, from many years of pain, from.. Null, was his name? " " Yeah, it was, Null. Also goes by .. Filename2. "

Mal nodded " And.. Dylan, was it? How do you know about this? "  Dylan chuckled " Ive been there there before, with Moonlights StarStruck. ( Deputy )"  I tilted my head who was MoonLight? StarStruck? Mal, and Dylan? What was happening..? Where was the others.

"What are we gonna do with this creature? " Mal asked looked in my direction " Maybe show it to The Towns? Give HSN a new surprise animal. " Dylan said. HSN? " Let... me ... go! "  I managed to say, Mal shook her head " No, Dylan. We already have, the brindle prophecy to deal with.. "  She came up to me and unchained me.. " I'm so sorry, little one. Our flame here likes collecting shit for the towns. "  Mal said, smiling.

Suddenly, a loud bang hit the room, CatNix was here! She jumped on Mal, making her hit the floor " AGH- WHAT THE FUCK?! "  CatNix had fury in her eyes as she tore Mal's face apart, Dylan stepped in charging up his hand, before shooting a fireball at CatNix.

She lunged at him clawing at the spot that hurts, before unsheathing her claws, and stuffing her hand in his stomach, and pulling out each gut, vein, and pieces of flesh. Dylan dropped dead on the ground blood exiting his mouth. A crystal glowed within his pants, Mal crawled backwards, and covered herself. To scared to speak.

CatNix's POV

I loved this. Tearing out each and every one of those guts. Dylan twitched, I looked down at his twitching tail, then at Mal, then softened my glance at CatNap. " P-please d-don't hurt me.. I have a job to do! "  Mal said softly to me. I realized she was fine to keep around suddenly, a blue figure appeared behind me.

" My MoonClan! What happened here!? "  The blue cat asked looking at Mal. " M-MoonlightStar! We found these things, and it killed Dylan ! "  Mal said looking at me, MoonLightStar looked down at me. And nodded before resting her nose on Dylan.. and reviving him?

" Come now. For now Hereians will be alerted of this place when traveling. "  MoonlightStar said Mal, and Dylan stood up shakily " Now quickly, I've already sent Terry on his way to the game character . "  Mal nodded walking after her.

I stared at them as they left " You okay..? "  I asked him as the silence got louder. CatNap nodded. We were alone, I felt this weird tingle in my stomach, we looked up at each other. " Uh. CatNix? Can I tell you something..?  " I nodded

" Well it's hard to put into..uh words..but..uh.....I....I...like.. no.. I.. "  CatNap stuttered " CatNix.. I..I.. I.. I love you! I want to spend my days with you, just us! Together! You're amazing, and you've changed me when you came! So.. will you.. be my.. girlfriend? "  I thought about all he had said. I had my answer

" I love you too, CatNap. "

Hey Hey! How'd y'all like this longer chapter?  And now our characters are dating! And did you guess who Null/ Filename2 was? Don't cheat by looking here! But it's a Baldi's Basics character who is one of the antagonists, alongside Baldi, even though, Null corrupted Baldi into becoming the math teacher he is in the game! But that's my theory from research of the lore! ❤️   (CHANGED UP THE CHAPTER BTW )
