Chapter-10

Nandini's POV

Today is our Roka ceremony and here I'm all claded up in my lavender lehenga.

I'm so excited or nervous or giddy or I don't know what exactly I'm feeling like some thing is going to happen.

I'm really trying to stop my instincts but I can't really.

"Nanduuuu" Here comes my best friend, naina who as always is late

"You are 27 minutes late!" I said rolling my eyes at her

"Oh hello, I ditched my date for you, and your are telling me that I'm 27 minutes late. Oh my my bhalai ka toh zamana hi nahi raha!!" She said wiping off her imaginary tears

"Anyways, tell me how am I looking."
I asked showing my lehenga

"Just like my Jiju's fairy" I blushed on her remark but that soon faded away when she added "but my poor Jiju doesn't know that you're a witch in disguise.." I threw a cushion at her.

"Aunty, look your not-so-innocent daughter is attacking me." She complained to mom and dad who just entered the room

They chuckled on our antics and dad came towards me.

"My daughter is really looking pretty, tumhari mummy kya kehti hai woh? Nazar na lage Meri pari ko." Dad said caressing my hairs

"What about me?" Naina said pouting

"You are looking like a princess to my dear" mom said ruffling her well settled hairs.

Manik's POV

We reached the venue and it was beautifully decorated with orchids.

I am excited to see my Nandini, and tell her what I feel for her.

I settled on the sofa on stage and the priest asked for Nandini. I had my eyes on the doorway of the hall.

"Kyu bhai! Sabar nai ho Raha?" Cabir pinched me teasingly.

I was about to reply but I heard the song play. All the lights were off and the spotlight was on Nandini.

She looked really pretty in that lehenga, with minimal jewellery and makeup. It is just enhancing her appearance more.

She slowly lifted her eyes and looked at me, I smiled, she blushed as if she understood my complement already.

I forwarded my hand when she neared the stage. Everyone hooted and we blushed

We both settled on the sofa and priest started the ceremony.

I just couldn't take my eyes off her. It was now the time to exchange rings, and officially call ourselves commited to each other.

Nandini slided the ring in my ring finger which had MaNan carved on it as Nandini's wish. Everyone clapped and hooted while I slide the ring in her finger.

She is Mine, I'm Her's.

After the ceremony everyone came to congratulate us. But I took the opportunity and took her to the balcony of the hall.

"Manik, we shouldn't come here like this, what will guests thin...?"

"Shhh! We are official, no worries now you see" I said winking showing off my ring

She blushed and I pinched her cheeks

"I wanna tell you something Nandini" I said sincerely looking in her eyes.

"But Manik..!!"

"Shh! Please let me complete, I would not be able to keep it within anymore."

I grabbed her hand and placed a soft kiss on her knuckles.

"You know Nandini, I knew you were the one when I first saw you, not just because of your outer appearance but your inner beauty too. Your kind and respectful behavior towards my parents, cool attitude with cabir and understanding towards me was what attracted me towards you."

"And today, I proudly say that Manik Malhotra is Nandini Murthy's Man. I love you Nandini, Will you grow older with me? Will you wake me up with a morning kiss every morning? Will you be my children's mumma? Will you marry me Nandini murthy?"

I said getting on my knees.

I saw a trail of tears in Nandini's eyes. She kneeled down too and hugged me tightly.

"I.. I love you too Manik. I'm really very lucky to have you as my soul mate, my other half. I will marry you Manik."

My happiness knew no bounds I hugged her tightly. After what felt like years we broke the hug.

We looked into each others eyes. We knew what we were craving for. EACH OTHER.

we joined our lips in a passionate lip lock. There was a smile lingering on our faces we stood up and went towards our parents hand in hand.
