"You can go home now, and take a holiday till next Monday" I said taking the file my assistant passed, hearing my words he froze, it was Thursday 5:30 in evening

"But sir, it's too early and three days leave?" He looked shocked, He had handled everything for the past 2 weeks when I was not there

"Consider it your bounce" I said signing the documents and gave it back, I had two more workers who could be my assistant for 2 days

"But-" he tried to say something but I cut him off "you want me to take it back?" I said glaring at him and shook his head

I was doing my work when my phone rang, I picked it seeing the caller id

"Hello biwi" I said keeping the phone between my ears and shoulder while continuing to work on my laptop

"What time are you coming" she asked directly and I looked at the time

"Maybe at 7" I said, mom would be shocked if she heard me, I never go home before 10, I guess now my mom would sleep peacefully

"good bring some kadi pata and jeera while coming" She said and I choked, huh? What?

"Kadi pata and jeera?" I asked to make sure I heard right, I mean we have workers to do that

"Ha, no one is there in house, elders went to mahabaleshwar as you know and younger members went to some party, and I sent workers back in the afternoon, thought I could make dinner for us, please please bring them while coming" she said and I opened my mouth only to shut it back finding lack of words

"Okay okay, I will bring them, don't cook until I come" I said and she went silent

"Why? I will prepare by then" she said and I shook my head "no don't, till I come, don't go to the kitchen" I said and she just hmmed

"Okay then, come soon bye" she said and cut the call and I focused on the work back

I finished it quickly and packed everything, I went out and drove the car to the nearest groceries store, taking a basket I went in first taking the incidents she asked and then some ice cream tub and some dark chocolate box

"You are here or am I just dreaming" I heard a voice behind me and I turned to look at Ayaan standing there, what the fuck is he doing here, he stood there holding a basket and tilted his head to look at me

"What are you doing here" I asked raising my eyebrows standing in the line to Bill my thinks, he stood behind me in the line

"Oh my God so you are for real in this supermarket doing shopping, I didn't know I would see this day" he said putting his basket over his shoulder, he was wearing a mask

"Answer my question" I asked and he shrugged "I came to buy some snacks but why are you here?" He asked raising his eyebrows

"I came to buy the shop, any doubt?" I said sarcastically "well I am not surprised" he said and I came to the counter and gave the basket for billing
