Fionna's POV
It was sad...
No one said anything...
We didn't have short conversations...
No mentions of the farm nor what happened there...
"Gas station please" Nicole said in a monotone voice.
"In a few miles" Dallas said.
I opened the glove compartment and pulled out my favorite CD and stuck it into the stereo, sick of the silence in the car. It slowly started up and I clicked the number three and skipped to the chorus.
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and
Just forget the world.
I sang along to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. Dally looked into my eyes and gave me a half smile and started to loudly sing along.
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three wordsAre said too much
They're not enough
After that verse everyone joined and everyone was smiling and having fun.
Thanks conscious for helping me break the silence I thought to myself.
So Dallas pulled into the gas station and for once instead of gloomy expressions we all had big smiles on and for once this week we were actually happy!
Nicole and I got out and practically ran to the bathrooms. Liz and Noah scouted out the store and Dallas was looking around for any gas/gas containers.
Nicole and I were done so we washed our hands with the soap that was left and a bottle of water we got from the car. After we were done washing our hands I heard a loud shriek.
"Oh my gosh!!!!" Liz screamed.
We all ran to her and wondered what was going on.
"What's wrong?!" Dallas and I said in unison.
"I found the best place that we could stay" Liz said excitedly while holding up a pamphlet.
It was a picture of a secluded little town in the country named Holbeck.
"T-That's where I live...or lived" I said sadly remembering my family.
"Well we should go and see if it has any supplies" Nicole said.
"We are running low" Dallas agreed.
"Okay everyone back in the car...we're headed to Holbeck." I said gloomily.

Welcome to Holbeck.
I found the welcoming sign to the right of the road. We're finally here. I saw an almost dark grayish color. The car drove a little closer to the small town and I saw a house that was halfway burnt down. You could see the rooms inside and the fallen ashes on the ground. This had to have happened on accident right? A small mistake?
We drove further into the darkened town and every house was like that. Some houses were burnt all the way to the ground. I saw my house on the corner and it was destroyed...
We all got out of the car and I ran to my house. When I got to it it still was a structure but it was badly burnt. I ran up the stairs and into my room which was now a dark gray. I scanned over my room and I saw a glint. I went over to it and it was a picture of my family and I at the beach.

"Again! Again!" Drake screamed.
"Just this last time okay?" I said to him.
He nodded and gave me the biggest smile. I held onto his stomach and threw him up into the air. He got three seconds of air time then splashed into the big blue ocean. He jumped out of the water gasping for air.
"Drake are you okay?!" I asked worriedly.
"That. Was. AWESOME." he yelled.
We both laughed and we ran up to the shore.
"Can you guys find me a really pretty seashell?" mom asked.
"Sure!" Drake and I said in unison.
We ran to the edge of the water and started looking through the sand to find the best seashell for her. We were so happy and that trip was probably the best one yet.

I cried for the first time in a long time. I couldn't do this anymore. I was so mean to them even on our last day together. I should have hugged Drake and told him I loved him. I shouldn't have yelled at him. I shouldn't have called for dad. I shouldn't have distracted him. I wish I could go back and do it all again. I was holding onto the picture like I would die if I let it go. I was sobbing and I could have sworn a puddle was beginning to form around me. Arms engulfed me and I leaned back and cried even harder.
"Shhh it's going to be okay Fi" I heard a familiar voice say, "I missed you so much."
"What do you mean? I was only at the house for about five minutes" I said.
I turned around and looked up at him. My eyes were still blurry from crying so I took my sleeve and wiped my eyes.
"W-Who are you?!" I scooted away scared of him.
"It's me Liam" he said sadly.
"I thought you were dead"
"I don't think I am....yet"
I heard footsteps running towards us. Dallas ran into the room and punched the guy square in the face, knocking him out. He picked me up bridal style and ran out of the house and into the grass beside it.
"Dallas we have to help him" I said.
"What? Why?" he asked astonished.
"He's my boyfriend" I said while looking down.
