"Great Real Choice Students!" Principal Olumide's loud voice jolts me out of my thoughts and back to my horrible reality of life. Sadly, the field trip will be coming to an end, I can not belive I will be returning back to my horrible life with Demi and her confused mother that likes me one day and hates me the next day.
"Great Real Choice Students!" Principal Olumide repeats. I roll my eyes at him, what is his obsession with calling us great? Does Murewa's mother pay him to call us that?
"I want you all to enjoy your holiday, see you next week. Also, get prepared for your exams which will be commencing soon. I want you all to use this holiday as an opportunity to spend more time with your tutors, learn more!" Principal Olumide says, the crowd of senior students make murmuring noises. I hear my classmates groan in frustration at the sound of exam and it makes me smile, thank God I am not the only one unprepared. Thankfully I have tutors like Fidelity and Dayo, although Dayo will barely have my time as WAEC will be starting soon and she needs to prepare.
"Murmur all you want but you can not hide from your exams. Have a lovely holiday everyone, goodbye!" Principal Olumide says hastily, he steps off the podium and makes his way out of the now lousy hall.
"Everybody go home!" I hear Dayo screech to the top of her voice.
The school couldn't take each of us back to our various homes as that would only take time so they just took us back to the school and asked us to find our ways back home. Luckily for me, my house is just a few walks away from school so there is absolutely nothing to worry about and the other students who have caring parents are also lucky because some of them have luxurious cars parked outside waiting for them.
I sigh as Teddy clings to my arm. She turns to me with a tired look on her face and says "I can not believe all of this has come to an end."I nod my head in agreement with a small smile on my face. "I enjoyed the experience honestly. Especially that fight between Fidel and Michael." I say pausing to chuckle.
Teddy looks like she's about to snap at me but a loud cough from behind startles us. The both of us turn around to glare at Fidel, the topic himself. I think Teddy and Fidel must have talked things out because she does not look in the slightest bit nervous.
"I heard my name. What did I do?" He asks with a raised brow.
I wave it off with a light chuckle. "Nothing, I was just talking about how interesting it was to watch you beat the living daylight out of Michael." I say with a wide grin.
"Oreke." Teddy whispers into my ears and nudges my shoulder to silence me.
I refuse to be quiet though, I like being available for any Michael slander, I hate his stupid ego and I think he needs to be put in his place.
"Are you going home now?" Fidel asks me. I nod my head with a slight shrug. Where else would I be going?
"In that case, let's go home together." Fidel says beaming excitedly. I can not help but smile at his own adorable smile.
"Bye guys. I'll be on my way back home." Teddy says. I sigh and pull her into a tight embrace.
"We'll talk on WhatsApp iyeh?" I say and Teddy nods her head. She turns to Fidel and waves at him, Fidel smiles at her and waves back. I watch Teddy disappear amongst the other crowd of students leaving the hall.
I wish Teddy lived near too. I just realized that I don't know where Teddy lives. Doesn't that make me a terrible friend? Although I can't exactly blame myself, Teddy is a very secretive person, sometimes it makes me not want to tell her stuff because she does not tell me things about herself too.
"Now, I just have to find Murewa." Fidel says with his eyes searching for Murewa amongst the remaining students in the hall, mostly SS2 and SS3 students.
