Chapter 24 Spacing Out Isn't To My Liking

Sir Ogen were spacing out, more than usual. He seemed to think about something so deeply. Like he's making the decision of his life.

I found myself nervous because of this situation. Sullivan isn't here and sir Ogen seem to be spacing out for the longest time.

The moment I stood on my feet, sir Ogen uttered something.

"Young boy, if you were in my place. This place that you could feel your life not having a meaning anymore. What would you do?"

Didn't know that a dwarf on the age of hundred years would ask me who didn't end his 17 year yet.

My gaze went to his face to find him looking straight at me, his eyes are digging a hole in my face. Talking about being full of confidence, but now it's curiosity.

"Sir Ogen, are you referring to the forest being destroyed?"

Sir Ogen nodded to me, his nod were slow, sure, yet sad.

"Sir Ogen, I don't know what were you thinking, nor do I think I could be this much of help. But-"

"I were thinking of a way to repair the forest, not just this forest but every single place got affected by this disease"

I looked down, and started to think.
"A way to repair the for-"

Wait, the book mentioned the °pieces° as the things that could recover this disease, and it's a common thing to everyone that who does get a hold on those °pieces° can do many things.

Maybe I can...
"Sir Ogen, do you know about the Mirror is broken parts?"

"Yes. Those have got alot of attention from all over the world"

"And they say that who claim them as theirs, they could do things the normal creature can't"

"I don't believe in it young boy"

Ha?, why wouldn't he believe in them?. That's right the book just said that those could make Sullivan get out from the repeating circle of the world, but it said that it may help with this too. It didn't say that the creatures were making things up.

"Why sir Ogen?"

"Because I had lived for hundred of years, and this mirror is broken whatever have been getting the attention of all creatures for like ten years now, and it didn't die down even for a bit. even though it still have this much attention, none found them at all"

That's because Sullivan went to every place he could think of and got them before anyone.

"What if I told you that I know their places?"

Sir Ogen is eyes widened, they were getting filled with light again. After being died and dry and withered for what seem like forever.

"Young boy, your not giving me hope on passing words, right?"

"Sir Ogen, I know we didn't get to know each other for long. But I will do whatever you want so you could believe me"

You would ask why am I going this far for sir Ogen, and why do I care about him. It's just that... I couldn't see him spacing out like that, it just... Aren't to my liking for some... Reason. A reason that I seem to not remember.
