Chapter 8: Kiss

In the past few days Alastor would start to get used to visiting Lucifer every couple of days he soon met Charlie, At first, he found it annoying, but soon he warmed up to the small princess. However, he did not like Lilith at all, even though she was polite to him. He couldn't help but feel irritated whenever Lucifer saw her and his face lit up, or when she kissed him on the cheek.

One day, after finishing his broadcast, Alastor was heading off to Lucifer's office when he saw Lilith going there too. He went to the shadows so they wouldn't see him. Lilith had a piece of paper in her hand as she walked to Lucifer. She kneeled next to him and handed him the paper. As soon as he saw it, his eyes started to fill with tears as he looked at Lilith, not knowing what to say

Lilith: "Look, Lucy"

Lucifer: "Why, did I do something wrong"

Lilith: "No you did nothing wrong"

Lucifer: "Then why"

Lilith:" I want you to know I never regretted marrying you and spending these eons with you, you are the reason we have our little girl and I still love you it's just not the same I did all those years ago, I hope we can still be friends and work this out."

Lucifer: "I need some time to think about it"

Lilith: "Of course"

Lucifer couldn't stop crying as Lilith left him. Alastor saw her go and came out of the shadows to comfort the small king. Lucifer hugged him tightly, weeping inconsolably and asking why. Alastor did his best to reassure him, promising to stay by his side and telling him that everything would be okay. Deep down, Lucifer knew that Lilith didn't love him the same way anymore, and he had a feeling that she would want a divorce. However, he never expected it to happen so soon or to hurt so much. Alastor was happy that Lilith wanted a divorce, but he was also upset to see Lucifer so upset.

After that day, Lucifer and Lilith didn't speak for a couple of weeks. However, Lucifer knew he couldn't avoid her forever, so he went to her room to talk about it. At first, it was awkward, but soon they both started to express their feelings. After their conversation, they were okay with speaking to each other, but their relationship was still rocky. Alastor and Lucifer's relationship became even closer since Alastor was the one staying by his side when he was feeling down and depressed. Thanks to Alastor, Lucifer was feeling better. Whenever Lucifer was upset, Alastor would play with Charlie and distract her so that she wouldn't worry about her dad.

Lately, Lucifer started to realize that he was falling in love with Alastor. However, he didn't want to ruin their friendship, so he kept his feelings to himself. After all, he couldn't imagine ruining their relationship and losing Alastor's friendship. Meanwhile, Alastor believed that Lucifer still had feelings for Lilith, so he decided to wait until he was sure that Lucifer had moved on.

It had been almost three years since Lucifer and Lilith were divorced, so Alastor believed it was time to confess his feelings to Lucifer. After getting some advice and encouragement from Rosie, he was going to confess tonight. Lucifer walked into his office to see Alastor with two bottles of wine. He smiled before sitting right next to Alastor. As they both drank and chatted, Alastor got up and bowed down to Lucifer with his hand out.

Alastor: "Will you do me the honors of dancing with me, Your Majesty"

Lucifer: "Well what king would I be to refuse such a request"

Lucifer took Alastor's hand and they began to sway to the music. The moonlight shone on them as they danced, smiling at each other like they were the only two people in the world. As they stopped dancing, their faces came close to each other and Alastor took a chance and kissed Lucifer. At first, the kiss was soft, but soon it became more passionate. Alastor pulled Lucifer closer, making the kiss even deeper. As they parted away, both were gasping for air. Alastor tilted his head and put his forehead against Lucifer before saying.

Alastor: "I love you"

Lucifer blushed bright yellow while tears started to form in his eyes before saying: "I love you too"

Alastor smiled as he wiped away Lucifer's tears and kissed him again, holding on to him tightly, not wanting to let go and wishing this moment could last forever. The next day, Lilith found out that they were dating. Well, they didn't tell her, but it was obvious. After she found out, she told them how happy she was for them. Lucifer was glad that Lilith was supportive of their relationship, while Alastor didn't care what she said. In the end, he only cared about Lucifer being finally his. Alastor left to cannibalize town to meet Rosie and tell her the good news. As soon as she heard the news, she embraced him and said how happy she was that he found someone to love.
