Just friends?

Sara couldn't quite put her finger on why she was pulled to Kris throughout their conversation. They seemed to have an unsaid bond between them, a pull that went beyond simple acquaintanceship. Drawn to the way his fingers strummed the air and his eyes crinkled when he smiled, she found it impossible to look away from him.

After a comfortable stillness had crept between them, Sara eventually managed to remark, "I thought you sang NGVOT amazing tonight".

Sara nodded as her cheeks began to flush with warmth. She couldn't help but wonder whether Kris was attracted to her for the same strange reason. Could it be that they were both engulfed in this irresistible chemistry?

The band was getting ready to leave, so before she could think about it any longer, the backstage area started to empty. Sara observed Kris bidding farewell to the rest of the group, his gaze staying on her for a bit longer than needed.

Sara felt her pulse race in her chest as he turned to go, pushing her to say what was on her mind, to express what had been racing through her since their first glance. Sara was left wondering what may have been as Kris gave her one final grin and vanished into the night before she could get the strength to say anything.

Kris said, "Thanks," and his smile grew. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

"Hey Sara, we have to catch the last tram home" Bojan yelled breaking the gaze. "Yeah I am ready just give me a minute christ,"

Sara and her brother Bojan ran for the last tram barely making it.  " So you and Kris?" he asked. " What do you mean" Sara responded. 

"Oh come on I saw the way you too look at each other" he responded.  "We are just friends" Sara blurted out.  "Friends don't look at each other like that" Bojan laughed. Sara jokingly punched her brother in the attempt to shut him up. "Hey, I'm only kidding" Bojan responded. "I am not into Kris" Sara stated. " Okay" Bojan said as he rolled his eyes. " Lets leave it at that" sara reiterated.  " Fine by me" Bojan responded perplexed by his sisters defensiveness on the matter.
