Maxon's P.O.V
After spending four days on our honeymoon, we are finally getting out of our Colorado cabin. American and I both took part in planning this trip, and we both wanted something different from the ordinary ocean and beach honeymoon. The location of our cabin is very remote, only wilderness to be seen for miles in every direction, it perfect. Today we are taking a short hike to a stream, and from there we will kayak for a few miles before we reach our camp site, were we will sleep for a night.
"You, who?" America waved her hand in front of my face.
"Are you ready my dear?"
"Yes. Are you going to do any of the heavy lifting?" She asked me while holding a camping bad for me to take which I took with a weak, joking smile.
We headed off on our journey, taking in the beauty of the country we proudly serve. We ended up flipping our kayak a few times, both getting completely soaked in water, but loving ever second of the romantic scene.
By the time we finally reached out camp site, we were both exhausted. So we layer out in each other's arms watching the clouds.
"That one, looks like a vase full of fresh daisies!" American exclaimed while pointing a blob of clouds. "And that one looks like a crown!" Looking at another blob similar to the first.
We relaxed together for a while taking in all the wilderness sounds, finally I decided it would be best to start to set up camp.
"Let's go!" I state while standing up and extending me hand to help American stand, and kissing her when she got the her feet.
"I will go find some fire wood, and you may unpack the bags and organize our 'stuff'." And I took off into the woods to find any wood that I could.
America's P.O.V.
I took Maxon around 20 minutes to start the fire, it was adorable how much of a hard time he had. But it was even more comical when he start to set up the tent. I let him try and confuse him self for a good 15 minutes before going over and helping him.
"Having fun?"
"Just peachy!?" He said very sarcastically while raising his eye brow.
It was plenty dark before we got around to eating and we then sat under a tree and stared at the stars.
"I think that constellation there, is the little dipper." I said while pointing out the spoon shape made of stars.
We sat, just talking until very late into the night. Until we finally decided to go to bed. This was the best day of our vacation so far!
