Chapter 12

Menacing Past

Leonard was cleaning Michael's room while the latter had gone to take a bath. While cleaning, he stumbled upon his old suitcase. He said , ' Times have changed but the condition of this case is still the same as it was 30 years from now '. Leonard opened the suitcase and found a number of old accessories that had long since been forgotten by him. Michael came out dressed up neatly. He saw Leonard observing the things inside the suitcase. Out of curiosity he asked Leonard what he was doing. Leonard held a picture in hand and started sobbing when he started to tell his story.

30 years ago,

Maine (US)

' So, how was your philosophy class Aaron ? ', said Leonard. ' Would have been better if the teacher didn't abruptly end the class ', replied Aaron. ' Why is that brother ? ' , questioned Leonard. ' Ahh, nothing Dexter from our class commited suicide ', said Aaron. ' You are saying it with a smily face ? ' asked an amused Leonard. ' Of course, I should smile. I made him do it ' replied Aaron. Leonard was horrified to hear it. He said , ' Are you out of your mind? I could you ! I am going to inform this to the headmaster ', said Leonard. ' Shut up man. Only a loser like you would say that ' replied Aaron. ' This isn't about rules. You just took away a person's life. ' said Leonard. ' I will just put the blame on you after all I am the favourite son of our parents and favourite student of our professors ' replied Aaron. Leonard clenched his fist to suppress his anger and moved on.

Morse Mansion

Leonard and Aaron entered to notice their father beating up the cook for making the tea too sweet. The cook pleaded for mercy but the father heard no excuse and beat him down to his last breath. Leonard was terrified and proceeded to stop his father but he too was beaten up. ' No-one can escape from me after commiting a crime ', said his father. ' Dispose off the body Wilston' ordered the Father. ' As you wish, Sir Kaimon' replied Wilston. Aaron looked at the dead body with a grin on his face. Leonard thought to himself, ' Monsters, Monsters this mansion it's full of heartless monsters '. ' Go to your rooms and don't come out before the dinner is made ' , said Kaimon.

Leonard and Aaron's Room

' Stay here and don't come downstairs ', said Aaron. ' Why ? ', questioned Leonard. ' Just do as I say ', replied Aaron. Aaron went to the living room. Leonard lied on his bed thinking what Aaron was up to. Three hours had past, no voice was heard. Leonard became anxious and went down. Leonard saw Aaron setting the dinner table. ' You have come, sit down and eat . Father and Mother have gone outside ' said Aaron . ' It is already 11 pm ' replied Leonard, sitting down anxiously. ' So, how are the delicacies ? ' asked Aaron. Leonard examined the food and said , ' I will tell you. Let me wash my hands ', replied Leonard. Leonard went to the kitchen and said , ' Something is not right. I can feel it '. He searched the dustbin to find clothes of his Father and Mother. He was speechless and lost his temper. He came running towards Aaron and shouted his lungs out at him, ' You merciless bastard what have you done. It's a shame that you are my brother ! Where are our...No, my parents? Where are they ! Speak up '. ' You are being too angry. Calm down. I was just hungry. ' replied Aaron. ' No, no have you? That is a cannibalistic act ' said Leonard. He started beating Aaron. His fists were covered with blood. Aaron said , ' You wanted it Leo '. ' Shut your mouth ' , replied Leonard. While they were fighting, Wilston set the house on fire. Leonard pushed Aaron behind and ran outside. Aaron screamed behind, ' I shall return Leo. You cannot escape. '

Present Day

' How terrible. Such people doesn't deserve to stay alive ' said Michael. Suddenly, he fell unconscious. ' Michael ! ' screamed Leonard. He put him in a bed and put a wet cloth over his forehead. Leonard thought, ' May, this not bring back the person who was erased on 25th December. '
