The next day, breakfast was awkward amongst the residents of Portland Row, or mostly Lockwood and Sabrina, who for once, were seated as far away from one another. She had spent the night in the attic with Lucy, refusing to leave the room to even get Piper, certain that the dog would not want to leave Lockwood's side. She had shared what had happened to Lucy and the girl had been thankful that she had stood up for her, but she had also apologised for putting her in the middle of it all.
George had called them all down, bright and early, to discuss his recent findings about the Chelsea outbreak, believing he had discovered where it began. As he prepared all his papers, Sabrina caught Anthony's eye and quickly looked down at the table, a feeble attempt to avoid any conversation with the boy.
