You had just gotten home and it was around 6pm. You held a ton of shopping bags, mentally slapping yourself for spending so much money.

You put them down near the entryway as you heard your brother come downstairs.

"Y/nnn, you're finally home! I'm starving." Shoya complained as he sat comfortably on the couch.

"Can you bring these to my room? I'll start dinner, what do you want?" You asked your brother, only receiving a puppy eye'd look. "No we're not ordering out."

"Why not!!"

"Shoya I just spent tons of my money and ordering is expensive..." you grab the bags you previously put on the floor and started bringing them up to your room since your brother didn't.

"But that's your fault not mine!" He followed behind you.

"Once you get a job you can order out as much as you want, but right now I'm the only one who's able to provide for us. I know I should've been a little more considerate of the money I spent today and I'm sorry. But we still can't order, so is there anything you want me to make?" You asked once more, finally able to put your bags down in your room. You turned around to face your little brother.

"...mac and cheese." He mumbled, wearing an expression that showed his annoyance as he crossed his arms in front of him.

"Okay, I'll go start." You walked past him, ruffling his hair as you did. He continued to follow you back downstairs into the kitchen.

"Oh yeah by the way, while you were out at work this morning you got a letter." Shoya finally spoke up, grabbing the letter that sat on the counter to show you.

"Huh? A letter..?" You only grow more confused, though curious. You check the letter for any signed name but there is none, so you just open it.

"Sooo...what is it?" Your little brother asked impatiently, it was rare for you guys to get any letters since you weren't in contact with any other family members.

Your eyes only widened in surprise as you continued to read the contents of the letter. "It's an...invitation letter to attend Jujutsu High..??"

"Is that like a private school or something? I've never heard of it. But why would they ask you to attend so late? School started 2 months ago.." Shoya questioned, just as confused as you are.

"I...don't know.. but this letter is pretty weird...I don't even know what they're talking about..." You finish reading the letter which didn't help at all, just made you even more confused with more questions.

"Lemme see it." Shoya quickly snatched the letter from your hands so he could take a look himself.

Dear Y/N,
The administration would like to invite you to attend Jujutsu High. The school is located at ########. Since we understand it is quite far from the city, living arrangements; such as dorms are required and free for students. Please send your confirmed answer in the next 3-5 business days.

Thank you,
Jujutsu Admin.

"Absolutely not. You can't go Y/n! Dorms are required if you attend...and I don't wanna be left alone." Your brother sulked which you only laughed at, pulling him into a hug.

"I'd never leave you, Shoya! And that's a promise" you were quickly pushed away by an irritated brother. He was never affectionate so when you hugged him he hated it, or at least you thought.

"Mhm you better." He scoffed, getting up to throw the letter away. "Okay can we make dinner now?"

"Hey bitches" Mai announced as she joined the rest of the girls at the cafeteria table.

"Hey Mai!" Miwa greeted, followed by you and Nishimiya waving at her. It was Monday morning so everyone was still sleepy and tired.

"Can I ask you guys a really serious question." Mai's demeanour changed, causing everyone to be interested in what she had to say. She leaned closer to the table so any other surrounding people wouldn't overhear.

"Do you guys know about cursed spirits?" She whispered. The look of confusion fell on everyone's face.

"What? What are those?" You ask, Mai only sighs and sits back down properly to explain them.

"Are you high or something, Mai?" Nishimiya asks seriously, tilting her head as she examined Mai. The green haired girl only shook her head.

"Unfortunately not. But I'm being serious, they're real! I did my research on them and I swear I see them sometimes."

"No cuz I feel like I sometimes see them too, but they're so small... they look like they wouldn't even be able to cause any harm." You add in, now you had both Nishimiya and Miwa looking at you weirdly.

"You see them?!? And you never told us?!?" Miwa exclaimed, her voice slightly raising as Mai reminded her to keep it down.

"I don't know I just thought I was seeing things I guess..."

"Well apparently some can cause a lot of harm, there's even people who train to become sorcerers or something to fight them, crazy right?" Mai continued to speak, leading the conversation with her info.

"And I had this crazy idea to apply to a school where they train to become sorcerers... and I got in...."

"WHAT"
"WHAT"
"WHAT"

"Mai what the hell?? This is so much information put on us so randomly.... why didn't you tell us before? If you got in then when are you transferring?" You instantly bombard her with questions, the other girls too stunned to speak.

"I'll be transferring there in about a month...the good thing is that they told me they have some more spots available...so if you guys wanna come join with me..."

"And where is this school?" Nishimiya asked, crossing her arms.

"It's.....in Kyoto....."

"....."
"....."
"....."

"LISTEN. There's one here in Tokyo BUT it's apparently full or something because I didn't get accepted. And my sister goes there so.."

"...so...you're going to go all the way to Kyoto to go to this new school where you'll train to become a sorcerer and fight curses." Miwa summed it up so she could properly register all that was just talked about. Mai nodded.

"That's insane Mai..." Nishimiya spoke up, resting her head on her hand as she looked at Mai.

"Hey you guys can come too...I'm pretty sure they're accepting.." Mai shrugged her shoulders, leaning back in her chair.

"I'll think about it..." Nishimiya replied, crossing her arms. You and Miwa also agreed with her. The school bell then rang and the four of you wave goodbyes as you get up to go to your lockers and then to class.
