Weeks after the battle on Crait, weeks after Luke had given himself to the force, Rey finally allowed herself a chance to relax. In one of her calmest moments her mind gave way to Kylo Ren, her thoughts becoming hers almost as if they had always been his. Unknowingly she gave him the coordinates to the tiny planet that R2-D2 had shut himself down in order to keep hidden.
The jedi had not noticed the man in the corner of the room as she and the others celebrated the birthday one of General Organa's padawans, nor did she notice another entity watching both of them from the other corner.
Kylo Ren silently proclaimed the jedi Rey a lost cause as he instead focused his attentions on finding another. Now he was the supreme leader, he finally had the power he needed to seek what he desired most. He watched his mother laugh for only a moment before forcibly pulling himself from the scene and back into his bedroom.
He pondered the information the jedi had given him for only a moment before rushing from the room, barking orders to anyone who could hear him. Several stormtroopers relayed the information to Hux after Ren had locked himself away with the weaponsmith. After the death of Phasma, Hux was all Ren had in terms of a competent general, but even then, both men still despised one another.
Hux performed all the tasks Ren had demanded before the man left the weaponsmith, his once broken helmet now fixed ad resting under his arm. "Sir, Everything is as you wished it." Hus said as he followed the man through the corridors. "Your shuttle is ready and waiting to leave for the co-ordinates with a few troopers on board."
"Good." Kylo Ren responded, his eyes fixed ahead as his voice remained devoid of emotion. "The knights are in charge."
Hux spluttered and fell back a few steps before rushing to catch up. "The knights, but aren't they a little...?" Hux raised a hand to his throat as if to protect it.
Kylo Ren stopped before the door to the hanger and turned to the squirrely man. "Are you questioning my choice?" Hux shook his head. "They will deal with any issues proficiently, and you will assist when they require."
"Yes, sir." Ren turned and walked through the hanger door, leaving Hux to make a flurry of rude mocking gestures behind the man's back before the doors closed to separate them.
Ren's command shuttle arrived in the atmosphere of Ahch-To and almost immediately the man took his TIE silencer to traverse the land below alone. He landed the ship near the beach and traipsed up the steps, past the porgs and the caretakers that looked amongst each other before shaking their heads at his appearance.
Ren did not wield his lightsaber once whilst upon the island, not even when a rouge porg gave him a fright as it screeched at him before awkwardly flying away. He didn't even cast a glance at the caretakers as they scurried between the little buildings, all of them avoiding only one house upon the hill. Under his mask, Kylo Ren squinted at the little building at it sat higher than the others, something in his chest telling him that he was close.
