I Am Offered a Quest

When Alina woke up, she didn't know where she was. It took seconds before she realized she was in the Camp Infirmary. The infirmary had one row of twin-size beds, warm-colored walls, and medical supplies.

"Look what the cat dragged in." Alina turned to the voice and saw Grayson walking toward her.

"If you're here to boast about me getting hurt again, I might give you an aneurysm," Alina said, staring at the boy who let out a grin.

"You wouldn't dare."

"Wanna bet, Sun Boy?"

Grayson reached the table next to Alina's bed and gave her a little glass of a golden liquid.

"Drink this before I regret healing you," Grayson said, handing her the glass.

Alina grabbed the glass from his hand and twisted the top off before gulping the drink down. When she finished, she immediately felt herself become a little stronger again.

"Thanks, Gray," Alina said, handing the glass back to him.

"Always. Do you wanna talk about what happened?"

"The claiming?"

"No, the other thing," Grayson said. "The thing where you threw Stella Watson into a tree trunk and nearly broke her back?"

Alina looked down before reaching fidgeting with her hands. "Is she okay?"

"She'll be fine. You bruised her back really bad and now she's on forced bed rest."

"How do you force someone to bed rest?"

"Handcuffs?"

"Why do we have handcuffs?"

"I don't know, ask Chiron. I doubt it'll work for more than four hours. She'll sharpen her teeth enough to where she can bite through soon, anyways."

Alina let out a small laugh. "Can I leave soon?"

"Oh, you can leave whenever you want. Oh, and that reminds me," Grayson said. He reached down toward the table before grabbing something, "Annabeth brought you a few books just in case you woke up early; I don't know why, it's not like you could finish one. And this," Grayson says, holding out a small chain, "is from Percy. He left a note too."

Alina took the chain from his hand and observed it closer. The chain had a tiny sea-shell charm on it. Alina set the bracelet down on her lap before reading the note.

I hope you get better soon :)
-Percy

"You were out probably six hours and he's been here maybe five times," Grayson said.

"You tell a boy a story and suddenly he loves you," Alina smiled. She could feel the rising blush on her face but she didn't care. "Oh gods, Percy."
