Sienna and Luke had already said their goodbyes to their families before leaving for the airport in attempt to prevent the typical heartbreaking airport goodbye. However, saying goodbye at home was just as saddening.
The two of them trudged into the airport carrying their things.
Sienna was quickly realizing how nervous she really was. She had never seen anything outside of her hometown. Well, except for that one family holiday when they drove out to the beach for a weekend.
Besides that, she'd been in the same town her entire life. Now, here she was about to get on a plane and fly across the world with a rock band. Honestly, a large part of her was terrified. Something Luke must have sensed because he threw his arm around her shoulders and gave her a reassuring smile.
"You ready to meet the lads?" He asked her happily.
She gave him a nod.
He led her through the airport, which was surprisingly much more crowded than they had anticipated, and to a couple of chairs in a corner that were occupied by three lads.
One lad was laid back in his seat playing Pokémon on a Nintendo DS. He had a black beanie pulled over his hair, but a few bright red strands stuck out in all directions.
Another lad was leaning his head against the red haired lad next to him. His curly hair was laying messily over his face and soft snores were rolling from his lips.
The third lad wasn't actually in a chair. He was sprawled out on the floor at the other lads' feet. He had a beanie pulled down over his eyes and a set of headphones placed over the beanie. He too was fast asleep.
The red-haired lad looked up at Luke and Sienna as they approached. A wide grin spread on his face.
"Hemmings!" The guy called. He then looked to Sienna. "Little Hemmings!" He called happily, holding his DS in one hand and shaking Sienna's with the other. "I'm Michael!"
"Sienna." She chuckled at his excitement.
Michael nudged the boy sleeping on his shoulder and kicked the boy in the floor.
"Hmm?" The curly-haired lad hummed as he slowly opened his eyes. His eyes adjusted on Sienna and he smiled softly. "You must be Sienna." He yawned. "I'm Ashton." He waved sleepily with one hand and rubbed his eyes with the other.
Ashton nudged the boy on the floor with his foot the same way Michael had.
"Fuck off." The boy groaned.
"Wake up and meet our guest." Ashton ordered.
The boy let out a huff and slowly lifted an arm to move his beanie away from his eyes. He stared up at Sienna and didn't speak.
"Calum." He said after a moment. "Pleasure." He added before covering his eyes once again.
"Ignore him." Luke said. "He's always grumpy in the mornings." He explained and Sienna nodded.
"You two realize you have the same eyes, right?" Ashton noted, analyzing just how similar their eyes really were.
"And the same sandy blonde hair." Michael added.
"Same chiseled features." Ashton continued.
"If she had a lip ring, you'd be twins." Michael said in amazement as he looked at Luke.
"It's a Hemmings thing." Luke shrugged.
"I'm gonna' go grab some coffee." Sienna said. "Anyone want anything?" She asked sweetly.
