what would I doBEA SHOVED HER FREEZING HANDS IN HER POCKETS after locking her car up, it was a Saturday night in busy Chicago and Bea had stopped by "The Beef" once again not just to visit Carmen but engage with Sidney upon a offer at her apartment for a couple of board games and drinks with Celeste.
"Hey"Bea released going in for a hug as he did the same.
"Hey"He sighed wrapping his arms around her. She pulled away but he just shut his eyes for a second not letting her go as she went back in confused.
"You wanna talk about it?"she asked softly rubbing her hand up and down his back slowly, he kissed her jawline and then her cheek before pulling away.
"Maybe later, today's been a fucking shit show..back and forth I just-"
He ran his fingers through his curls taking a hit of the cigarette again.
As they continued talking outside infront of the back door to the kitchen Sidney continued helping Richie close the kitchen while ease dropping on their conversation.
Her nose was against his as she cupped his cheeks, his arms were wrapped around her.
"Even if you did fuck up today it doesn't matter to be upset about it now..Is it not over?"
"And I know everyone else in there knows that you take this seriously, you can't just stay upset about this one thing cause you still did what you needed to do..everyone in there isn't against you, and you need to know that...and when things get too cramped you always have a group to rely on" She claimed letting him go.
Sidney looked away from the two of them stopping for a second, she walked over to the other side of the kitchen assembling the silverware and dishes.
Beatrice made her way to Sidney approaching her from behind, placing her hand on her back.
"Fuck, - oh you"she startled as bea laughed a little.
"Sorry, I didn't know I caught you off guard"Bea admitted
"No, uh it's okay..I would hug you right now but I've literally got my hands full" Sidney Joked
Bea took some of the silverware by the bottom and started placing them in the silverware drawer.
"So I uhm, kinda got a roommate for a while.."Bea told
"Kinda, for a while?"Sidney asked
"Yea, it's a long story but- we're having a few drinks and playing a couple of board games tonight i just wanted to invite you..it'd just be us three" Bea smiled grabbing the 7 soup spoons.
"Uh..yea that was so kind and sweet of you- but I've gotta get back here tomorrow morning and -"
"That's no problem I can bring you home right after" Bea affirmed
"...are you sure?" Sidney asked
"Yea, I'd really enjoy your company"Bea assured.
Sidney closed the drawer turning towards her.
"B!"Carmen spoke from across the kitchen.
"Uhm, meet me outside.. my cars the Volvo"Bea sighed walking away towards Carmen and Richie.
Carmen stood in-front of Richie trying to get him to turn to Bea as she stood there kinda waiting for them to stop playing around with one another mumbling.
"You're the only one who hasn't said anything just fucking do it" Carmen whispered
"Fucking ass hole"Richie sighed turning towards Bea with a smile.
"Hi"She smiled holding her hand out for him to shake.
"Hows it going Princess" he sighed
She glanced at Carmen in confusion
as he jolted Richie in the arm.Bea put her hand back down.
"Are you a hugger?"he asked with open arms.
"Sure.."she replied going in for a hug.
Hugging him did seem random since things were awkward after the "princess" name thing.
"Princess..I'll see you around, it was nice meeting you"He assured giving her two pats on her shoulder.
Carmen looked down in embarrassment as she watched Richie grab his bag out his locker and walk out back to the kitchen.
"I promise he's not hitting on you or anything it was just a, stupid nickname he gave you before I started talking to you.."he sighed
"I mean princess isn't bad I've gotten worse nicknames and code names..he just seemed so- nervous" Bea wondered.
"Yea maybe he'll snap out of it next time.."He sighed sitting down on the bench changing his shoes. Bea looked for a small piece of label paper taped to the locker with his name on it. Once she did she opened his locker grabbing his coat and placing the pack of cigarettes in the pocket.
"You still having that thing at your place?"He asked
"Yea you can still stay the night, even though we won't be alone- you can bring busy body"She spoke implying to Richie as he stood up reaching for his coat in her hands, he smiled putting his jacket on.
"No, I think I'm just gonna go home..I've got a headache anyway" he sighed
"They'll be leaving right after, and we can talk some more, and do what we usually do"She insisted grabbing his hand as they walked out the kitchen he shut the lights off right before closing the door that had been locked from the inside.
"No it's fine, I think it's best for me to just to get home tonight..maybe tomorrow?"He asked she walked over to her car unlocking it as Sidney was alarmed at the chirp, not looking away from her phone she then turned around opening the car door to her passenger seat.
"Are you sure you don't wanna stop by when maybe everyone's gone then?"She asked
"Yea, we'll just do tomorrow..I'll see you later"He insisted as she sighed hugging him again.
As he pecked her lips letting her go she walked to her car getting in.
She glanced at Sidney who was on the phone, Bea started her 25 minute drive to Sidney's apartment she felt guilty she couldn't be there when he really needed her. He knew she felt bad but he didn't want to need her every second something went downhill in the kitchen, he wanted to be able to control himself regardless if she was there or not.
But she'd tell him all the time. "there's no rush, there's no clock it's just you".
