Emma
Emma Agreste had been in love with Charles Bourgeois-Couffaine. When she was 11 years old, he got her a dragon figurine doll for her 11th birthday. She had loved him for as long as she could remember, but she knew she fell in love with him at that moment. When he moved to New York when they were 14, her heart had been broken. He didn't care about her enough to stay, stay for her. She thought they were best friends, platonic soulmates. Hadn't their friendship meant anything to him? With time, she got over her crush. But with Charles having moved back to Paris, some turmoiled feelings had started to resurface.
Even so, a silly crush was no match for her love for Red Bug. She was absolutely, whole heartedly, in love with her partner Red Bug. She had only been a superhero for three months, but she felt as if she knew Red Bug her whole life. Paris had always had Ladybug and Cat Noir, AKA her mum and dad. But her parents figured it was time to hand off their superhero duties to her and whomever was behind the red mask. They told her they didn't know, but she wouldn't put anything past her parents. They were now in Japan, visiting Uncle Felix and Aunt Kagami. Once dad gave her his miraculous and mom had renounced hers, they had decided to go on a well deserved, well waited for, world tour. Her mum and dad had traveled of course, but they hadn't been able to do it as much as they would have liked, as the protectors of Paris, they had their duties to serve the city. Even with hawkmoth gone, there were other evils her mom and dad fought.
The most interesting that had happened this summer was a couple robberies, an almost train wreck, and a few prevented assaults. Not that she minded. Emma could do easy. Besides, the freedom of sprinting across the rooftops and flying through the air were just some of the amazing perks that came with being a miraculous wielder. She hummed a tune as she waited for Red Bug. As he arrived he winced,
"Ughh not you too, I've heard that song all day." She laughed,
"What? You don't like it?" She asked.
"Its not that I don't like it, I've just heard it too much today. That song is being played everywhere!"
"Can't help it if you don't have taste, buggaboy. Race you to the Arc de Triomphe, last one there has to treat the other to ice cream!" She yelled as she took off using her stick to thrust her off into the air.
Chaton Noir made it there first. A few seconds later, Red Bug landed and retracted his yoyo hook.
"We should be keeping watch for any trouble, Chaton Noir. Not playing around, we're the new protectors of this city, or did you forget?" He asked.
"Oh Puh-Lease, tonight's a slow night and you know it. Might as well have some fine while we're at it. Or are you too much of a watermelon?" She asked cheekily.
"Are you still on that? I told you not to call me watermelon!" He said in between breaths from having rushed over here.
"Always, bug boy. Now I hope you brought cash, because you owe me ice cream at Andreeeeeee's" She yelled back at him, already vaulting off towards Andre's.
