Emma was driving to pick up Japanese food tonight because she had given Gorilla the day off. When suddenly her phone went off and didn't stop buzzing. She pulled over her car to an empty roadway to check her phone. Was it an amber alert? When she turned her phone over, her eyes widened and she gasped.

Akuma Alert. There hadn't been one of those in over 7 years. The last one was when she was ten years old and her parents had to go and save the day. But they didn't have their miraculous. Heck, they were in JAPAN right now. Just as she was about to call them, she stepped outside and could make out a blurry figure near the Arc de Triomphe. It WAS an akuma. Her parents beat her to it. She got a call from her mom, the previous ladybug holder.

She picked up.

"EMMA! Don't you dare go near the akuma, you're unprepared and you don't know how to handle this yet. We're on our way." Her mom said, seemingly running.

"Princess, don't you dare transform. We'll be there soon, where are you??" Her father asked breathlessly. Her parents were running.

"Emma! Tell me you understand. You cannot go out there on your own." Her mother said, worried when she wasn't responding. That's when she saw Red Bug swinging by towards the akuma on his yoyo.

"Maman. Dad. Red Bug is out there and I can't let him face the akuma alone. Plagg, CLAWS OUT!"

"EMMA!"

"NO EMMA!" Her parents yelled through the phone.

"I'll be okay! I didn't grow up with superhero parents for no reason." She said before throwing her phone into the backseat of her car before getting out and vaulting off on her baton. When she caught up to Red Bug she said.

"Bug boy! Ready for our first akuma?" She asked.

"No. Not really! This is the first one in 7 years! Why now? Is it because hawk moth knows we're newbies? Chaton Noir, we are so screwed. What are we going to do?"

"Chill. Don't tell me you're not a cat noir and ladybug fan. All we have to do is find the akumatized object, break it. You do your whole de-evilize and miraculous red bug thing and we all good." She said,

"You make it sound so easy, but do you remember what a state paris was left in after akuma attacks??? How are you so calm?" He asked. Chaton Noir realized that Red Bug was freaking out. She turned and grabbed his shoulders and shook him hard.

"Red bug! Focus! I'm not calm right now, but we have a city to save. Get yourself together! We were chosen for a reason, or did you forget? We are superheroes. And this is our first real job. I know you're scared that you're going to mess up, I am too. But we'll be okay. We have more experience than the original cat noir and ladybug. They were only 14 when they started saving Paris. We're older and we have had practice getting used to our abilities. The guardian says we have backup on the way. We just need to hold off some damage until they get here. The original cat noir and ladybug are on there way back using the horse miraculous as we speak! Until then, we need to do what we always do. Save lives. Got it?" Chaton Noir exclaimed.

"Okay. Okay. So the original holders are on their way back. This is good. And then maybe my mom and dad can come and help too. I sent them a message and they surely know about the akuma attack by now. And they know that aunt mar-uhhhh the original holders-wait. How do you know they're on their way back?" Red Bug asked.

"I-I have my ways but now we have to go! Come on bug boy!" She said, vaulting off. The akuma called herself Tornado. She was a meteorologist that apparently got fired from her job. She could control the wind.

"Don't call your lucky charm yet!" Chaton Noir yelled to Bug boy.

"I know that!" He yelled back. Both Bug boy and Chaton Noir were getting civilians out near the akuma and placing them on roofs away from the akumatized person. Once they had cleared all the civilians who were in harm's way, they met in front of the akuma.

"Hahaha please. You two aren't even half as strong as the original holders. It'll be easy as eating cake plucking your miraculouses from you two. Have some patience, hawk moth. I will get their miraculous. But first, I need to go destroy a certain Jake Mathews. The audacity of that man to fire me. I went to Yale and got my PhD at Princeton. He dares question my capability!" She cackled. Red Bug wrapped his yoyo around Tornado.

"Sorry to burst your bubble. But we can't let you hurt anyone." He said.

"You're not going anywhere Lady. What happened to rejection is redirection? I'm sure there's a way better job out there for you! So why don't we all stop this nonsense and go for some tea?" Chaton Noir added.

"Fine. We'll do it your way. GIVE ME YOUR MIRACULOUS SO I CAN GET MY REVENGE!" She screeched.

And then she attacked Red Bug first, forcing him to release the yoyo's hold on her. He tried again, but she swerved and flew up and turned so to propel Red Bug, using his own weapon against him. It was then, when Red Bug let go a second time and went flying through the air. He blushed in surprise as Chaton Noir caught him bridal style.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

Charles POV

"Y-yeah. Perfectly fine." He said as he sprung away from her as soon as she set him down. When Tornado sent a blast of air that picked up debris at them, it was Chaton Noir that shoved Red Bug behind him and spinned her baton and saved them from getting hurt.

"H-how are you so good at this??" He asked her.

"Practice. And watching millions of hours of footage on the ladyblog." She added. Charles had been too busy with his studies to focus on watching anything. Let alone footage of their predecessors. But that was smart. Why hadn't he done that. Was he supposed to have committed to a training routine? Maybe he wasn't cut out for this whole superhero thing after all-

His train of thought was interrupted by Chaton Noir saying,

"Red Bug. Focus! Stop having feelings of self doubt. And before you ask how I know, I'm having them too. We have to hold her off until backup gets here!"  Red Bug didn't respond. He was focusing on his surroundings and called up his lucky charm. He got a bottle of...superglue.

"Red Bug?" Chaton Noir asked turning around.

"Sorry. I'm thinking." If Red Bug could use his yoyo to create a pen around those four light poles they could pen Tornado in. The only issue is, she could use her power to propel herself out. Unless-he could use the glue to superglue her outrageous costume to the floor. In order to do that they had to shove her into the floor. Using Chaton Noir's pole and extending it to shove her to the floor...it could just work. While the supervillain tried to get herself out of the sticky situation, they would just have to snag whatever she was holding in her fist. That had to be the akumatized object.

"Chaton Noir! I need to get to the floor." He quickly explained his plan.

"Great thinking! Now you're thinking like ladybug!" She exclaimed before grabbing the superglue and sliding under the nearby car. Bug boy was holding off the debris with his yoyo as Chaton Noir spread the superglue all over the floor nearby. Bug boy got ready to steal the object as Chaton Noir extended her baton and shoved the supervillain into the mess of glue on the floor. As the supervillain tried to get up she lost hold of the small rock she was holding. A small meteorite it seemed to be. Bug boy snatched the rock and couldn't destroy it. It was a rock after all.

"Chaton Noir! All you!" He said and threw the rock at her. The supervillain screeched. "NOOOO!"

"CATACLYSM!" Chaton Noir yelled and destroyed the meteorite. The akuma flew out of the, now dust particles in her hand and Bug boy said,

"Time to de-evilize!" And purified the akuma.

"Thank god that's done." He said. Brushing hair out of his face in exhaustion.

"Whaaaat? You're supposed to say, 'Bye bye little butterfly!'." Chaton Noir said. Red Bug narrowed his eyes at Chaton Noir. Chaton Noir raised her eyebrows and asked,

"Aren't you forgetting something, bug boy?" She asked him holding up the lucky charm. She threw it at him and he threw it up in the air.

"MIRACULOUS RED BUG!" And everything that was destroyed was then restored.
