ᥫ᭡ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟐 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 ᥫ᭡

𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, Melina stepped out of the car looking ahead seeing beanbags, plushies and creatures of Greek mythology lore. She walked up the lawn seeing all the plushies as if they were all staring intensely at her.

She made it to the door and saw in front of her golden letters of the last name Castellan.

She knocked on the door seeing a woman open the door, she looked normal, but Melina knew that she couldn't have been.

"I wasn't expecting visitors, I'm waiting for my son...who are you?" The woman asked as Melina stared at her.

Thinking of something to say, "my daughter was here possibly some time ago...and I wanted to come by and...see who was here."

The women smiled saying "come in! Come in! I have baked fresh cookies; we may speak as I wait for my son!"

The door was left open, and Melina walked in shutting the door behind her, the home was eerie of course. She looked around seeing candles lit everywhere and the home looked...almost old and abandoned. And yet this woman still lived here.

She walked into the kitchen seeing the women set down some cookies and a sandwich.

"I had made a bunch for my son! Here! Have some!" She told Melina sweetly as Melina recognized the cookies were burnt, she looked around seeing containers and containers of molding food.

Rotten food and burnt food scattered the entire kitchen as she frowned.

"I never caught your name; my name is Melina." She introduced herself as the woman smiled "my name is May...you look familiar. Have we met?" She asked, blinking her foggy eyes.

Thinking about her words, she figured that perhaps Hayley did get here, and Melina nodded "umm you've met my daughter, her name is Hayley. I am her mother..."

May smiled hearing that "oh is it not wonderful to be a mother? My Luke hasn't come home yet but he will be back soon!"

Those words sent a shiver through Melina's entire body "y-you're Luke's mother?" She stuttered out.

Both women looked at one another as May smiled "of course! Oh, my son Luke, he will be coming home soon, and I have all this food prepared in the meantime."

Melina looked around the messy kitchen, then she looked back at the women and frowned. So, this is what Hayley had probably seen. She had remembered Hayley explaining Luke had left home at a young age just like herself.

She approached the woman and frowned, touching her arm "you must miss Luke a lot..."

May stared up at her and smiled holding the hand that rested on her arm "oh I do. But my Luke is a wonderful boy...he will come home...soon enough." She breathed out.

Not thinking that was possibly true or could be true Melina frowned and rubbed the lady's arm in remorse and sorrow. She felt guilty...here she was thinking her situation was worse than most. Hayley hold told her Luke had far for younger than she was. And was it because of this?

Possibly...

"My daughter cares a lot for your son." Melina replied tearfully as May looked at her.

She smiled and took Melina's hand saying to her "I felt it...you do not have to tell me that." She laughed out loud.

For only a few moments did May act normal until she began having her visions. The woman clutched at her stomach in pain, almost landing on the floor if it weren't for Melina. May Castellan cried out in pain; Melina could feel that pain in her words.
