Zapella, Emma and Ivy laugh as the heels of their spiked boots clicked across the mall's marble floor. "So wait Ash thought your dad would scream if he dressed up like king boo and got nearly sucked into an ectoplasmic vacuum?" Emma said and Ivy nodded still laughing. "Yeah. Mom and Pauline were freaking out when the mask ripped off and his lip piercing got snagged." Ivy said. "Wow and during all that crazy shit he still had the balls to ask your dad for a favor?" Zapella giggles before sipping on her cherry slush as they walk outside and get hit with the late February cold. "Yep and daddy had a good sense of humor and said yes, but soooo" she removed her black biker glove on her left hand and flashed a dark emerald ring with a dark silver band. "And so did I!" she smiled. "OH MY GOD!!!" Zapella and Emma squealed, as their shopping bags dropped with a thud and they hugged their best friend. "I know right!" Ivy smiled, hugging them around their necks. Yet the excitement soon comes to an end when they hear tires screeching down the path and loud pops, screams, and sirens echo through the purple sky.

Zane was flipping through the tv channels while Bonestine was putting away the dishes. "So I was thinking we could order some pizza tonight!" Bonestine hollered from the kitchen. "Sounds go—BONESTINE GET IN HERE!!!" Zane yelled with urgency in his voice and Bonestine put down the glass before jogging into the living room. "What's going on?" Bonestine asked. "There was a shooting at the mall....." Zane said. "For real? Wait at our mall?" He said and Zane's eyes were glued to the screen as tears fell. "Zane?" "We need to go to the hospital......" Zane said, still in shock. "Why?" "Look who was injured....." Zane said tears were still falling and he looked up at Bonestine before Bonestine looked at the paused screen. "Oh my god...... Z..... Em....Ivy...." He said in shock. They both jumped when Zane's phone rang "Radioactive by Fallout Boy" and he tapped the green button. "Ash, we just saw the news which hospital are they at?" Zane asked. "We're on the way." He hangs up. "Let's go" Bonestine said, keys and Zane's coat in hand. Zane slips on his shoes and tossed on the coat as the two left the house.

Both gold and red eyes are blinded by the bright lights and white and blue color lobby when they walk in. "Bonestine. Zane." They turned and saw Ash with his eyeliner running from crying. The two hug him and he cries harder into their shoulders. "Are they ok?" Zane asked. "So far zapella is stable because she got shot in the arm and grazed on her leg and her parents are with her.... Emma just got out of surgery from a bullet in her leg and shoulder and is in ICU with her parents. Ivy I don't know.... Daisy and Luigi are on the next flight back with her sister." Ash said. "Where's your mom and dad?" "At their vacation lodge with no cell service..... and I don't have the emergency number..." Ash cried as Zane hugged him again. Bonestine looks down in disbelief then his ears perked hearing the doors slide open again. The three turned and saw two male echidnas. Both of them have dark red fur with strong bodies and old shirts, jackets and faded jeans, yet one had blue green eyes while the other had purple green eyes. Then a female echidna with purplish red fur and bluish purple eyes wearing a gray sweater under a red jacket and jeans runs in with a indigo hedgehog with light green eyes wearing a black sweater under a gray coat and jeans. Ash walks over to them and tells them about what he just told Bonestine and Zane. "Sonour sisters are ok?" The hedgehog asked. "As far as I know Issac...." Ash looked down. The female echidna hugs Ash and he starts crying more worried about ivy. The two male echidna's walked over to Bonestine and Zane. "You two ok?" One of them asked. "Yeah, just stil in shocked Rutan...." Bonestine said to the echidna with the purple green eyes. "You should probably go join your parents, they won't allow non-family members back..." Zane said. "You guys are family to us so that's fucking bull shit." Said the other male echidna. "Chris" the female echidna said. "You know it's true Rikilee" Chris said before the four went back. Zane watched Ash sit down and cover his face. "Ash, I know ivy is going to be ok.... She's a strong girl." Zane said. "I hope you're right zane.... I can't lose her, especially since I just asked her to marry me...." He said. "Wait, you two are engaged?" Zane and Bonestine said. "We were gonna tell you at practice this weekend but Ivy wanted to tell the girls today....." Ash said. The doors opened once more, grabbing their attention and saw the doctor. "Ash Robotnik?" The doctor said. "Yes? Is Ivy ok?" Ash asked. "She's a fighter because the way she looked I didn't think she had a chance. She's alright but will be bedridden for two months. Plus physical therapy for an additional six months." The doctor said. "So she won't be able to perform or do recordings?" Ash asked, knowing Ivy will ask that. "No, not for a year at best." She said and the three nod. "Thank you. May we see her?" Ash asked. "Once we get her in a room yes" the doctor said and they nod. As Ash was sending a text update to Ivy's family Zane looks down and gets lost in a repeating thought.
