It's been six months. Six months since the end of junior year. Six months since someone tried to kill us. Six months since I fell in love with Derek Hale. Six months since I lost him. Six months since my best friend came back. Six months of complete and utter pain....but I still wear a smile on my face. Not because I'm happy, but because that's what I want everyone to believe.

You see, I've had everyone convinced these past few months that I've healed. That I've moved on. That I'm over...HIM.

I joke around and laugh and smile when I'm around my friends, when I'm around Derek, but when I get home...I curl up in a ball under my covers and cry like a baby.

Which is what I wish I was doing right now, but I'm stuck helping keep watch on Liam during the full moon. Lucky for me, I've learned to control myself during the full moon...with Derek's help.

I guess you could say me and Derek were cool. It's still awkward for me, being around him and Braeden and all...but I'm making progress.

Anyway, back to the present with Scott, Stiles and Liam.

"Alright, so I found some cool three bedrooms in the Mission district, but they're pretty expensive." Stiles said, looking over his map as me and Scott sat on the hood of his car. " A couple in Hate and Apsery...also expensive."

"Well, what about Berkley?" Scott asked. "Don't a lot of students live around there?"

"Yeah, yeah, we could try Nob Hill, but the jeep would probably burn through a lot if clutches."

"You're bringing the jeep?" I asked.

"You know the plan, k? No one gets left behind. That's the plan. Lydia's not gonna have a problem getting into Stanford, Kira's taking USF, Malia's uh you know, she'll figure something out, okay? The plan is perfect." Stiles said.

"Or we could wait until we actually get into college and then figure out where to live?" Scott suggested. I nodded in agreement.

"I had a vision, guys, okay, and it is a beautiful vision. Don't ruin the vision." Stiles said. I rolled my eyes. "Okay, we can uh, we can check out the East Bay. We haven't I looked at Oakland yet."

Me and Scott gazed at the full moon, thunder crackling in the sky.

"You guys alright, you starting to feel it?" Stiles asked me and Scott.

"No, I was just thinking." Scott said.

"About what?"

"Senior year."

"Senior year? That's-that's, that's nothing. That's gonna be easy." Stiles tried to encourage him.

"It's more of something Deaton told me once." Scott said. "You ever hear of regression to the mean?"

"No, I don't think so."

"That's his way of saying that life can't ever be all bad or all good. You know, eventually things have to come back to the middle. So, I'm thinking about the last few months. Things have been...good right? But not amazing."

"Yeah, but no one's tried to kill us in six months either."

"Right, we've been pretty much in the middle for a while. Which means at some point the scale had to tip one way or the other. Things are gonna get really good again..."

"Or really bad." Stiles finished. He glanced at me and put a comforting hand on my leg. "Hey, you okay? You've been pretty quiet."

I gave him a small smile and nodded, putting a hand on top of his reassuringly. "I'm fine, just tired."
