I woke up the next morning at seven to get ready for school. Scott left for work early in the morning, so I guess I'm gonna have to walk.
I took a shower and dried my hair. I curled it and tied half uo, half diwn. I walked over to my closet and picked out a black bralet, a red plaid shirt with ripped sleeves, high waisted denim shorts and black knee high boots.
After I was done getting ready, I grabbed my purse and phone and headed downstairs, grabbing an apple on my way out the door.
I was about to start walking to school but a black Chevy Camero stopped me. A smile creeped onto my face as the window rolled down, revealing Derek's face.
"Get in." He said. I did as I was told, hopping in the front seat.
"How'd you know I needed a ride?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"I don't know, I just did." He said. I smiled, knowing the effects of the mark still worked on him.
"Where's Braeden?" I asked.
"She's on a short mission." Was all he said. He looked like he didn't want to talk about it, so I just left it alone.
"So, how'd last night with Liam and the senior scribe thing go?" He asked.
"Pretty well, aside from some random werewolf with glowing claws trying to kill Scott." I said casually. He almost slammed on the breaks.
"He didn't hurt you did he?"
"No, of course not." I shook my head. "Theo helped buy Scott some time before anything happened."
"Who's Theo?" He asked suspiciously. I blushed a little.
"Theo's uh, he's an old friend of ours. He moved away in the fourth grade. He just moved back to Beacon Hills. He wants to join our pack." I explained, leaving out the part about my little crush.
"You blushed when I asked about him. Who is he to you?"
I blushed even more. God, can this get any more awkward.
"He's just an old crush I used to have back in the day. But I'm over it." I said. Maybe.
"Huh, and he wants to join Scott's pack?" I nodded. "Is Scott gonna let him?"
"He's thinking about it. Theo's done nothing to convince him that he's an evil psychopath, so I'm guessing he will." I said. He nodded.
"Well, what do you think about it?" He asked. I looked at .
"Me?" He nodded. "Well, I don't see a problem with it. I actually think it could be good for us. We could really use the help, especially after what happened yesterday. If he wasn't there...I don't know what would've happened."
"You sure that's the whole reason?" He raised his eyebrows. I furrowed mine.
"What?"
"You sure this isn't about your little crush on him?"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm sure."
We pulled up in front of the school and I opened the car door.
"Thanks for the ride Derek." I said, giving him a smile and a wave before shutting the door and watching him drive off.
"Boyfriend?" I heard someone ask. I turned to find Theo standing right next to me.
"Ex." I stated, painfully. He raised his eyebrows.
"Let me guess, you broke up with him and now you're trying to be friends?" He asked.
"Actually, he broke up with me." I said. He looked shocked.
