GRACE AND JOHN WALKED INSIDE THE DIMLY LIT NEW ORLEANS CLUB. GRACE SMILED TO HERSELF AS SHE KNEW IT HADN'T CHANGED SINCE SHE WAS IN IT LAST.

The two of them looked around the crowd, bobbing their heads along to the music. "Hey, let's go to the bar." Grace tried to say to John.

"WHAT?" He shouted at her.

"The bar!" She shouted louder.

"WHAT?" He screamed. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Grace rolled her eyes, taking his hand in hers and pulling him through the crowd. John blushed once he felt Grace's warm hand. They stopped at the bar, taking two chairs. "Ah, you were trying to tell me to go to the bar!"

"Yes, yes I was." She smiled at him, trying to grab the bartender's attention.

"So, who are we looking for?" John asked.

"Already found him. He's in the corner, playing poker." She shrugged her shoulders. "But I'd like to surprise him." The bartender finally stood in front of her. "What do you want?" She turned to John.

"Uh, Budweiser, please." John told the bartender.

"Make that two." Grace dug around her pockets. "And can I get a French Martini for Mr. LeBeau?" She took out a deck card and handed it over to the bartender. "And can you put this on top?" The bartender slowly took the card off her. "Thanks." Grace turned to John, who had a raised eyebrow at her. "What?" She laughed. "When you meet him, you'll understand." The bartender dropped the two beers in front of the pair. "Thanks." Grace grabbed her bottle and tipped it off John's. "Cheers."

"Cheers." John sipped at his beer. "Here's to finding the answers we need."

"Careful leavin' something this valuable lying around, Cherie." A huge smile plastered Grace's face as she heard Remy's accent. He placed the Queen of Hearts card down on the bar. "You know my heart only belongs to one Queen."

"Rem!" Grace jumped off the stool and tackled him into a hug.

"Now, now." He laughed as he pulled out of the hug. "You know Gambit got a reputation to uphold." He pulled to fix his trench coat. He looked over at John. "And who do we have here?"

"Remy LeBeau, this is John Allerdyce." She turned to John. "John, this is Remy, also known as Gambit."

John leaned over to shake Remy's hand. After the handshake, as John let his hand drop back down to his lap, Remy shuffled the deck of cards he had into the air. John kept looking over at Grace, noticing how her smile kept getting bigger and bigger.

Grace ran her hand down Remy's almost shoulder length hair. "Glad you kept the length, Rem." She saw in the corner of her eye John angrily taking a drink of his beer. "Suits you."

"Why, thank you very much." Remy ran his hand down Grace's hair. "I love what you've done to yours." He played with her curls. "Bouncy." He looked over at John, noticing how jealous he was getting. "Now, mon ami, would you mind if I stole my Cherie away from you for, perhaps a dance or two?" Remy smirked at Grace, who rolled her eyes and then looked at John, who didn't seem impressed. "Merci beaucoup, mon ami."
