Blossom's pov:
I take Brick to the local high street after we finish downing our coffee's. I quickly booked us a private seat at this French Bistro. Near the back.
Brick was hesitant at first since he didn't normally like French food but quickly got used to it once he tasted it.
"This is fucking amazing.", Brick takes another bite.
I laugh at him, despite him shoving food in his mouth he still looked cute. I chuckle giving him a napkin. "We can order more to go if you want."
I look around for the waiter. "Nah, too much of a good thing isn't good for me."
He finishes his sandwich in 2 more bites. I look at Brick wanting to say something but I don't, I didn't want to ruin the moment.
Brick and I leave after I pay for food. I insisted for paying for food since he paid for coffee. "Okay, but next time, I'm paying."
I don't argue with him as we make our way through the mall. It was weird hanging out with Brick but it was comforting with his presence around me. Like I craved him.
I shake myself out of my thought and Brick goes towards me. "Should we just go."
"What."
"I mean, it's empty and boring here.", Brick gestures to the mall and the stores closing. I had completely forgotten that the mall closes early on Sundays.
"Uhh- okay."
I try and hide the sadness in my voice. Me and Brick had a confusing relationship, now and in the past but we were always together no matter what. But now he was my step-brother who doesn't come home and wants to break up the pending engagement between our parents.
I sigh. Me and Brick were now in the car park.
"Don't bother argue with me and get in." Brick puts his bag in the back of the car before coming to me and opening the passenger side door.
"Thank you."
Brick nods and goes back to his side of the door, shutting mine. Brick starts driving me home.
"Let's do something different next time."
I look at Brick before nodding. "Okay."
"But not a Sunday."
"Okay."
I lean back in the chair. We really didn't talk about much but school life and it was weirder to say when we weren't having sex. I sigh.
So much for having regular sex. I look at Brick. Before all this happened we were very sexually active, regardless of the fact that it was with one another it was still sex.
Brick turns down the drive to my house.
"Were here." He looks at the house in distaste. I look at the cars in the drive. The professor was gone, so that probably meant so was Miranda.
"Thanks." I don't move as Brick leans forwards resting on the car wheel. He looked stressed.
"Is it boring in the house." Brick's voice is quiet.
"Umm... most of the time." I was used to not being bothered and with Miranda there everything was family time. I could barely hang out with the girls.
I wait for Brick to say something but he doesn't. "It would be more fun if you stayed."
Brick look at me. I wasn't used to him being quiet or nice but I was okay with this. "Would you like that."
He pauses. "Are you sure you even want me as a step-brother."
I stay quiet. I didn't know what I wanted, me and Brick were supposed to be step-siblings and our parent where happy in love. Everything was supposed to be fine, we weren't actually doing anything but fuck.
I look at Brick. He looks like he wants to say something but holds back.
But we did more that fuck.
"I don't know." I mumble the words out but Brick still hears me turning away.
"I won't decorate my room." Bricks voice comes out deep and somehow pained. "But I'll at least spend the night."
I don't fully register Brick's words until he comes out of the car and opens the door beside me. I step out and stand beside him.
"Thank you."
Brick nods as I head to the door. The house had changed a little since Miranda moved in. Her photos where up almost everywhere. I had managed to subtly remove the ones on me and Brick's floor but they where still everywhere else.
I look at Brick, flinch at the site of his mother.
"Don't worry there not everywhere."
Brick nods following me upstairs. I go straight to his room. Since he'd left I spent most of my time trying to break in the bed and fill the room up.
"I put away most of your stuff for you, except from a few boxes. I changed your bedding a few times, I accidently ate in here once and got it dirty."
I ramble on about the rest of the tiny things that I'd changed in his room. He doesn't say anything and just looks at me.
"What."
"I thought you would of hated me."
"Why?"
"Because I was willing to ruin someone's engagement on the mere fact that I hate my mother."
I sigh walking over to the desk and chair that I'd built for him in his absence. "I would never hate you, just I don't think I understood you."
Bric had warned me about his mother. I didn't know what the problem was but it must of been drastic enough to make him leave.
"Thanks." I look at Brick and smile. I didn't know much things about brick but I knew enough, when he didn't want to talk about something.
I sigh. "I'm just doing my job, guiding the troubled youth back home.", I put my hand on my heart trying to be dramatic.
Brick smiles at me.
"Well, anyway we still have to share the bathroom, in between our rooms." I point to the door by his room.
We both has on-suites but we had to share the on-suite. I didn't mind cause we could lock it at any time.
"Now, that's all. Any questions?", I peer at Brick sitting on the bed.
"Can I see your bedroom?"
