The Forest king wasn't a forgiving king, he ruled to protect his people and his land. He would gladly hang up enemies, on display with their organs hanging out as they begged for mercy just to show others he wasn't to be messed with. The people and the children of his he cherished and looked after with a special kind of love. He was a fierce ruler.
"What have I told you about hanging out by the boarder!" Chris hissed as he shooed his children away from the forest edge, his anxiety heightened as his ears flickered. He could sense the predators on the other side of the boarder, waiting for the little ones to step foot into the other land to scoop them up and steal them away. "But dad-" Max whined out as he was pulled into a protective hold, letting out a huff as his twin got picked up and his baby brother scuffed. "He's gone birdbrain." Alex says as he peeks up at the now feral ruler, feeling guilty for putting his father in such a state. "Ugh. I wanted to keep playing." Max pouted as he looked over his dad's shoulder to wave bye to Jerry and Jamey. The two demons watching from the boarder nervously, as the other kids were taken away.
"He wasn't so scary?" Jerry whispered as he held his brother's hand, he was shaking and nervous. Jamey shushed him gently as he waited for the forest spirit to disappear from view before getting out from their hiding spot. "He really wasn't. Angelo is so dramatic." Jamey says with a shrug, as brushes himself off.
The bodies strung up in the trees on the boarder of the forest told a different story, blood and gore dripped down in warning to the other beings that lived outside of the forest to not enter the forest king's domain.
Chris can be scary but let's be honest here, the only one that would snatch up and steal some kids is him. So he can look after the lil babies.
