Ace Pov

Here we are, nearly fifty years since Godzilla and I crashed into this planet, forever altering its landscape. From the satellites, Earth resembles a living hell, with every continent reduced to lava, rendering it completely uninhabitable. It seemed inevitable that it would end up like this. What am I supposed to say? That before all of this, I was a cocky pirate who thought this would be an easy kill? At first, that's exactly what I thought. That when my new abilities manifested, I let them get to my head? Guilty. That I severely underestimated these Darks? Absolutely. I've spent more years chasing him around the planet than I care to remember, but it feels like I've just been going around in circles.

I never truly understood them—Godzilla, the Darks. I made theories and reasoning, but after my encounter with the culprit, they're just a bigger puzzle than one man can ever hope to understand. I understood what Godzilla was, but I couldn't grasp the Dark energy inside him that changed him. It was like seeing the real thing, but corrupted. Godzilla is a natural balance, and how can you give nature invention? You're not supposed to, and yet here I am in Antarctica, preparing to engage in another fight with Godzilla and two more monsters that came from outer space.

King Ghidorah—a golden, armless wyvern with three heads, two fan-shaped wings, and two tails. Gigan—a creature with a circular saw weapon in his frontal abdominal region, large steel hooks for hands and toes, spikes running down his tail, and various avian characteristics. These monsters wreaked havoc, summoned by that red bastard, making the fate of this planet seem like a battleground for giant monsters to slug it out. They made landfall a few years after the battle in Bombay, and I thought Space Godzilla was bad, but they made his level of destruction look like a cakewalk.

I was sent out to fight them due to Mecha Godzilla being in maintenance, but I got my ass handed to me so hard that I reached a point of telling people "no." These monsters get stronger and stronger, and I needed to finish my weapon to stand a chance. But of course, it's never that easy. Within a year, half the planet was in cinders, and the other half was just waiting in line. Those two bastards pushed us to the edge. We needed all the remaining help to resist, and today we'll push them back.

After fifty years, I finally completed my "portal gun" – a fake name to avoid raising alarms about what I'm doing. But people got so desperate that they don't care what I made, so I officially revealed my invention alongside the scientists. The Dimension Tide – the ultimate anti-monster weaponry. And yes, it shoots black holes.

Between this and the new Mecha Godzilla, the small group of A.M.F. is truly putting all their resources into this fight. If shooting miniaturized black holes isn't enough to damage them, then I'm sorry, but I'll have to abandon this mission. Fifty years in this mess, and I can't say I'm getting old – I still look the same as I did back in my original world. Seeing my friends age while I remain the same is depressing. Kai'sa and Miss Fortune are in their 70s while I still look like I'm in my 20s.

I don't even know what to think... outliving my friends? I don't even want to think about that...

(Miss Fortune) She walks besides Ace, her old age showing wrinkles. But despite that, she still had beauty and grace. "I think you've outdone yourself again, Ace." She asks while smiling.
