A/N: Day 3: Home/Night
A/N: *SMUT WARNING!* *SMUT WARNING!* *SMUT WARNING!*
This story isn't just straight smut, but this is your warning that if you don't like reading smut, be careful how far in you read. And if you want to read the ending, which is smut-free, you can jump down to after the bold and italicized words.
Gravel crunches under the car tires as Ben pulls into the driveway of the cabin he and Jacob will be staying in for the next week. It will be a week of just the two of them, with no ghosts, vampires, werewolves, or other monsters to be had. Not even the team will be with them! And why might they be spending a week alone in a cabin, you might ask?
Because Ben and Jacob got married!
The newlywed husbands had gotten married in a small outdoor ceremony earlier that day, followed by a reception. The wedding had been attended by their close family and friends, and while the event had been kept simple, there was no shortage of love in the air that day. Ben and Jacob exchanged vows and rings before their guests, promising themselves to each other for the rest of their lives. The reception that followed was a lively affair with delicious food, drinks and cake for all to enjoy. But the night's most memorable moment was when Ben and Jacob shared their first dance as husbands.
Now that the stress of wedding planning and the excitement of the day itself was over, the couple was ready to relax on their honeymoon. The team surprised Ben and Jacob with a week-long getaway to a cabin on a lake. It was a beautiful spot in the forest, away from any main roads and the noise of the city, with no one around to disturb them. The team promised that everything they needed would be there waiting for them, but if they missed anything, they could call or text them, and someone would bring it to the cabin. All Ben and Jacob needed to do was relax and enjoy themselves.
Reaching the cabin, Ben parks the car and looks at the building of logs. It was two stories high with a chimney on one side and plenty of windows to let in the forest's natural light. There was a spot towards the back for chopping wood, but the large pile of already chopped logs probably wouldn't need to be replenished before the week was over. He could see the lake in the back with a small dock and a shed where the canons and other water items were stored. There was also a fire pit closer to the cabin, and Ben couldn't wait to sit there with Jacob, roast marshmallows, and make smores until they couldn't eat anymore.
"Ben!" Jacob calls, startling his husband (husband!), "what are you daydreaming about?"
Ben smiles, "just all the things we're going to get to do this week together as husbands... Swimming, canoeing, roasting marshmallows, stargazing..."
"How about going to bed?" he suggested, "as much as I would love to do all that and more with you, I'd also like to sleep."
"Then let's head inside," he replies, pulling the keys from the ignition and unbuckling, "wait here!"
"Wa- Ben!" Jacob yells, confused. He does as asked and waits in the car for whatever his husband is planning, unbuckling as Ben jogs to the cabin's door. The medic only stays for a few moments before returning to the car, and Jacob sees that the door is slightly ajar. Before he can wonder what is happening, Ben opens his door and leans in.
"Ben, what are you doing?!" Jacob shrieked as Ben's arms slipped under his knees and behind his back.
Jacob scrambled to throw his arm around Ben's shoulders as his husband straightened up while keeping him in his arms. Being mindful not to let Jacob hit his head, Ben lifted him out of the car and kicked the door shut. Jacob was carried across the lawn and up the steps of the cabin, making him realize what Ben had planned. The medic nudged the door open with his foot before carrying his husband over the threshold.
