Hello Mary Lou! [Ricky Nelson]

Chapter Six

We were filming that day then the next day was my interview with the magazine! The show had announced that I was going to be on it to! After the taping of this week's show was the big double date.

I was actually dreading going on this date. Because I didn't want to see anyone hanging all over Ricky when I couldn't. And I very much wanted to do just that! Life wasn't fair. Not one little bit.

I had to admit to myself that I was in love with Ricky. Even more so then after getting to know him. Before it had been just infatuation with him.

But this....this was love.

I really knew him well. And he got to know me. They just got done doing my hair and make up on the set then I went to try to talk to Ricky but girls flocked to him for an autograph then boys did the same to me.

Soon we begun to film on set. My family of course were there to support me. Mom and Paula were driving me to the interview tomorrow.

"We have a new surprise for you all! A new hit single just for you kids by our talented Ricky! All for you Mary Lou!" The announcer speaks up.

I was in front again to watch my fake boyfriend Rick. I plaster on a smile of love. Little did they all know it was real. Real love for that man upon the stage. He had told me he wrote a new song for the up coming album.

I had yet to hear the song. So I was eager to like the rest of the crowd was!

"I will follow you....follow you where ever you may go! There isn't an ocean to deep...a mountain so high it can keep me away...." his voice and the music was making me melt inside.

Did he write that for me? I was losing my heart.

To Ricky.

"I love you, I love you, I love you, and where you go I'll follow, I'll follow...." he could win any girl he wanted with that voice.

After the solo I had to hop on stage and hold him. The kiss wasn't planned out but he surprised me. He swoops in and kisses me sweetly. Knocking me off my feet. I sigh nearly with contentment after and everyone cheers them claps for us.

"I do love you. Even though you don't love me" he whispered near my ear. He smiles sadly at me. Then we were done taping.

I didn't get a chance to talk to Rick before the big date. I was having second thoughts about calling it off. And just telling him I did in fact love him in return, but I didn't want to lose him. I couldn't let go of this fear I held onto.
