"And he smiled at me, like there was something in me worth looking at."
"And if you hurt me,
That's okay, baby, only words bleed.
Inside these pages, you just hold me,
And I won't ever let you go.
Wait for me to come home...
Wait for me to come home."
I hummed under my breath, giggling as Tunisha di sent me a pic of little Mihir sleeping in Vidyut bhai's arms while he conversed with his P.A.
The caption wrote 'his koala behavior reminds me so much of you'.
I huffed, poking my tongue even though I know she can't see me. I looked at my appearance in the mirror for the last time before turning around.
It had been a few weeks since we came back from the trip. Chachi ji called yesterday, asking us to join them for a little 'get-together' plan. I actually loved the idea, because since we came back, Avyansh has been very busy with his work.
Not to sound like a clingy wife but I have seen him shouting at someone on the phone at night. I wouldn't hear much of it because of the fog of sleep but if I asked about that later, he would just pull me close to him, mumbling nothing as he stuffed his face in my neck.
I informed Rudra about it during his call a few days later, but he brushed it off as just work.
Naina's also indulged in her upcoming book, so I haven't heard from her since we came back. Amaira texted me a few days back saying that she's going to Kolkata for some work.
And the last week has been quite hectic for me as well with back-to-back meetings and therapy schedules arranged.
Pushing these thoughts aside, I reach the lounge area to see Avyansh, with his back facing me as he talked with someone in a different language. He wore a solid black t-shirt with dark trousers, his back muscles flexing so perfectly as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Просто найдите последнее местоположение. Там что-то должно быть."
(Just find the latest location. There's got to be something.)
I slowly approached him as he talked, I couldn't understand a word, except for the fact that I knew he was speaking in Russian, but I knew it must be something big to make him so tense.
I slowly traced his right hand with my hand, before gently intertwining my fingers with his. I slowly brought up our hands, pressing a gentle, feather-light kiss on his knuckles as my eyes automatically fluttered close. I timidly looked up to see him already staring at me darkly in silence.
