"And when he looked at me, I swear to god I fell harder."
Oh, boy!!!
It looked as if a tornado came and went through the living room. And instead of those blown away houses and roofs, it had decided to leave carelessly thrown snack wrappers, and a few mismatched pair of shoes.
I felt pity for the once-squeaky-clean sofa, now adorned with scattered cushions, wrinkled blankets, and...
Is that a broken vase?
"Are you guys fucking serious?" The hulk beside me roared, to which I took the tiniest step away from him.
All of them stood in a perfect line with their head bowed down, looking like those troublemakers in school, getting scolded by their headmaster for pranking other kids.
"Do you all think you would get away after this?" He seethed in a dominating voice beside me as all the five musketeers smiled sheepishly, except Farhan.
In perfect sync, as if planned beforehand, the whole gang took a step back. Except Mahi.
I bit my lips to stop the laugh bubbling inside me at the five grown-up adults with the souls of mischievous kids, as they left the poor Mahi to face the raging CEO alone.
Breaking news guys: maturity level has taken a temporary vacation! Yayy!
A gasp sounded as Mahi looked around, her beautiful curls bouncing wildly as a betrayed expression took over her face. Aww!
She finally turned towards Avyansh, as if a deer caught in a headlight.
"Avyansh bhai, bhabhi I'm telling you all of them are lying. I swear I just came here a couple of minutes before, Sid bhai was the one who broke the vase," Siddharth just poked his tongue as she pointed an accusing finger at him.
"And when I warned him that he should clean this before you come, he pulled me into a headlock while saying that 'I thrive in the territory where fearing Avy dares not tread' and high-fived Rudra bhai." Mahi continued in her baby voice.
A tiny laugh erupted from me before I quickly covered it with a cough. A deafening silence filled the room as Avyansh let out a short yet deep laugh.
"Okay bacha," He said cupping her cheek, before striding over to Sid, the goat.
No, not the GOAT, but the one before the lion.
"L-l-ook Avy, we-we both are to young, y- you to get charged for murd- murder and I to get murdered," Stuttering he pushed Amaira before him, which was hilarious as Amaira's 5'7 was doing a truly miserable job at hiding him in his 6'1 glory.
Fuck, they're so cute!!!!
"Aur meri toh shaadi bhi nhi hui!!!" He pouted, motioning towards Amaira with his eyes. Farhan face-palmed his forehead as the rest of us laughed hysterically.
