Chapter 1

Camp?

Walking up the stairs, already exhausted for day, vanya sighed loudy. Afterall staying up all night and studying wasn't easy as it seems. How happily she planned on going home and sleeping all day, but when did things go as planned?

'Gosh! My legs are killing me!'

Be class representative, it well be fun they said. Fun? Yeah, you have to deal with immature kids who fight with each others and whin like babies all the time for no reason. 'These Stupid stairs!'

"Hey CR!". Someone yelled, turning back to see it was saanvi and vaishnavi running towards me.
They both came breathing heavily.
"Hey slow down! Why were you both running?" vanya asked. "We saw you and came running, by the way are you going in class?". Saanvi question, wiping her sweaty forehead. Vanya just nodded her head. "Let's go in" she said and open the door.

As she opened the door, she again regretted her decision of being class representative. Because the scene ahead could be described by only one word. Chaos. Pure chaos. She scanned the whole class, everyone was there. Minding their daily business like; fooling around, pranking each other, etc, etc.

Class of XI science-A was a whole mess with paper here and there. Students chasing one after the other.

'What are we? Nursery kids?'
She closed her eyes irritated.

Vanya took a step inside the class and she was welcomed by a paper aeroplane on her forehead. And there she sighed again! She gestured saanvi and vaishnavi to moved to their places. A boy popped out of nowhere, "Ohh CR! Did it hit you? Are you fine?". Vanya pressed her lips and exhaled loudy. "Yes, aaryan im fine now go to your place teacher might come soon!".

As she went to pick the paper aeroplane and crush it. Aaryan was quick enough to snatch it from her hands before his toy aeroplane ends up in dustbin. Before she could ran after him, vanya was attack by her fellow classmates. "Hey CR! What's the answer for 4th question? It's propanone, right?" Rohan hopefully asked that she might say 'yes'. She checked the question and recalled what she wrote in her answer sheet. "No, it's acetophenone" she replied, disappointing the poor kid. "See I told you! Didn't I?" Another boy, kartik excitedly yelled in her ears. Rohan just rolled his eyes "who cares? As long as I pass, i'm happy!" With that he dramatically flipped his non-existing long hair and walked away.

'What the? If he doesn't care then why just ask?'

Vanya stood there silently judging them. She took a deep breath and went to her place. She sat down just to bombarded with another question. "Hey CR, do you know why teacher has called us?" Her deskmate, misha decided to irritate more. 'Why don't they let me live in peace?!'

"No, I don't know" was all she could say. "CR! Go and call teacher, why are you both just sitting?" Aanya ordered sitting back chewing on her bubble gum. 'Is she the boss of us?' Vanya shortly glared at her and made an eye-contact with Saeish, her other CR-mate.

Silently telling him to say something. He understood and yelled loud enough for everyone to hear
"Teacher gonna be here soon so be seated" As soon as he said that teacher came, and we all greeted her. She smiled in return, "okk, did you'll answer well your today's paper?". Everyone said 'yes' in unison. "So everyone is going to pass, right?" Silence. Not a single sound.

She just laughed at our facial expressions knowing us very well.
"Alright, I hope everyone will pass and I got a surprise for you all" Everyone cheered loudly. "We are organizing an educational camp for- stop shouting!"

'Camp?'

Mentioning the word 'camp' everyone started screaming like crazy. At this point, it seems like they have totally lost it.
'Ahh! my poor ears!

Now everyone was intently listening to her, of course who wouldn't? "Alright, everyone! Your diwali vacations starts next month, which means almost one week is there before you all are off to vacations. So, the school authority decided for a five days camp". She further continued "Don't be excited! We aren't going for picnic, it's a study tour!.

"Ok, i'm giving this acknowledgement sheet. Go home and show it to your parents and get it signed" she raised the paper sheets for everyone to see.

"Class representatives! Hand over this to everyone." Vanya and Saeish, immediately stood up, and followed the instructions of distributing the acknowledgements.

"Make sure you get it sighed tomorrow, don't forget it home! Ok, you can read it home. You all can leave now! Chalo bye!" With that our class-teacher left the class.

Everyone was enthusiastically talking about the camp trip, and one by one everyone left. "Aren't you going home?" Saeish questioned her standing still and thinking something deeply. "Yeah I was about to" she replied picking her bagpack and walked to switch off the lights.
The moment they got out Saeish closed the door. "So are you going for the camp?" He asked sensing her quietness. "Yeah, obviously!" She smiled and replied. "I guess everyone will come" she continued "hmm, that we'll get to know tomorrow!" He said  grinning to her.

They walked out of school together and parted ways to the entrance gate. "See you tomorrow!" She said waving her hands. "Yeah, bye!" He smiled and left.

'What hectic day!' Vanya thought to herself and continued to walk home.
