It was now nighttime.

The sun had vanished from the horizon of the sky to give up rightfully its place to the glowing moon, as it would with each cycle.

And there the moon stood: beautiful, stunning, and gorgeous...

The previous glimmer of light that showered the golden fields of wheat now changed into a blanket of darkness, covering them in this looming end.

The children were going back home.

Now the artificial lights that made the village visible were the few lanterns that lightened, and stopped the village from being totally enshrouded by darkness.

The birds have returned to their nests and the animals to their dens, the leaves rustled.

. . .

Cotann, Zanku, and the elder sat together.

The place fell to silence as no one uttered a word.

Both of them snuck glances at Zan, who was still drying his hair with a towel given to him. Just by the look of his eyes, one could say that he was pretty much upset with this previous predicament.

Second thoughts would be welcomed to swarm his mind the next time he would be called to come here.

[Zanku]: "You didn't need to attack people for no reason."

As Zan gave an accusative look at the Elder, the latter simply waved him off and dismissed his complaint without saying a single word, not even willing to grant a silent apology.

The Elder adjusted his position on his seat and crossed his legs, before speaking in his most laid-back manner, commenting on....something?

[Elder]: "A strange premonition had plagued my dreams. But I suppose it was nothing of an omen since I woke up without meeting the ill-fated wings of ruins. What a time and age to plague this one's well-deserved rest. A disaster....what was it that gave me access to this kind of sight?"

[Zanku]: ". . . What is he even talking about?"

Equally puzzled at the Elder's behavior, Cotann answered quite bluntly.

[Cotann]: "I don't know. Please, Elder, act normally. No more talking about premonitions, I don't understand either."

Slapping the shoulder of his chair with an obvious motion, he brought back the attention to him and his words.

[Cotann]: "More seriously elder. We're just here to talk to you about the-"

[Elder]: "-White tiger? Mhh, I know that. I was just joking around, of course. I even called you for that very reason... I remember that as well. I guess little Seng did his job well. But on to the main point, Cotann... Do you know what is recently happening around there?"

The Elder stroked his beard as he asked the question, not including Zan in the talk.

Strangely enough, there was something about his tone that implied something strange.

Cotann didn't have much of a reaction as he blinked and waited.

Zanku answered without being able to restrain the frown that crept on his face.

[Zanku]: "I guess it could be that something strange happened with them. I don't recall seeing any in my travels. So, they've started moving around, I guess?"
