"see it in my eyes, how they never lie."

Evening, the next day, was very busy. Cassie came home and almost immediately took a long shower. She washed her hair and made sure to shave every inch of her body.

Then, she brushed her teeth again and started to do her hair and makeup. Soon enough she was ready to wear her dress, which she's had in her closet forever.

Now it was time to figure out how to sneak out. She waited in her room for Hector, since he promised to help her. Finally after nearly an hour, he showed up.

He was wearing black pants and a black shirt which wasn't buttoned all the way up. Cassie grinned at the way her brother looked and stood up.

"You are not going out like that." The brunette pointed at his little sister and scanned her up and down, judging. He got her to eye roll it and open the window.

"Be careful." She warned and swiftly went outside. She climbed down the wall by some sort of wood ladder which had flowers all over it and jumped down as she got closer to the ground.

Her brother followed and soon the both of Fort siblings were on their way to the driveway, where Marc was waiting for them.

They got inside of his car and drove away, as the brunette didn't ask any questions. "I'll explain later." Cassandra promised and glanced at her partner.

He was wearing dark coloured jeans and a black t-shirt, which she found very attractive for no reason. They got to the high school seconds after, and could already hear the music coming from inside.

They got out of the car and soon Marc reached out his elbow for the girl to hold. She smiled softly and grabbed his arm as they started walking towards the entrance.

"I got grounded, so if i get into more trouble, it's all on you." The girl whispered as they approached the school. Marc let out a chuckle and opened the door for his date.

"I'm sure your mom wouldn't mind." He joked as leading the way. Hector soon was reunited with Rowan, who had waited by the gym entrance.

"Bet by the end of the night they'll at least kiss." Cassandra claimed confidently as the pair entered the loud room.

Colourful lights were nearly blinding her, and the music was loud enough for her to be forced to raise her voice while speaking to Marc.

They walked to the tables where you could either get a drink or some snack. Of course the pair chose to get a drink and sit down on the bleachers.

"I didn't think you'd actually show up." Marc started the conversation with his words slightly confusing Cassie. She turned her head to face him and chuckled.

"I'm everything but someone who'd lead you on." She assured and took a sip from her cup. Marc smiled as a dimple appeared on one side of his face.

When Cassie noticed that she could've sworn her stomach did a flip. She quickly shook off the weird feeling as she heard her favorite song play next.

"Come, we'll dance." She commanded as standing up and reaching out her hand to her partner. He tilted his head to the side clearly showing that he didn't want to do it.

The girl didn't listen and pulled him to the dance floor either way. She know how to dance well, Marc on the other hand had no clue what to do.

Cassandra laughed and looked at her date. "Copy my moves, come on!" She smiled and started dancing close to him. He soon caught up with her moves and the pair were concentrated on only each other.

Soon enough Hector and Rowan joined them, and now the whole group was having fun together. Rowan danced with Cassie, as the guys managed to escape their partners.

"My brother's totally into you." Cassie whispered loudly into Rowan's ear and both of the girls giggled loudly.

"And i'm nearly sure Marc's into you, Cas." Rowan replied as glancing at the two men sitting down besides each other.

The brunette rolled her eyes and shook her head. She knew he's been feeling in some type of way towards her for a while, but she never reciprocated the feeling.

"We'll see." Cassie replied and grabbed Rowan's hand, walking away from the crowd and making her way towards the guys.

When they saw the girls approaching, they stood up and smiled at the both of them. "Neither of you can party properly!" Cassandra noticed and sat down on the bleachers, taking off her shoes.

Dancing in high heels was a struggle, and she had just started to feel that. Rowan sat next to her after asking Hector to bring her something cold.

"I can party, just not when i'm this sober." Marc explained and sat down beside Cassie. She sat straight up and looked at her partner with a grin.

"Let's get out of here. Small after party on the beach is what i mean." She winked to him and grabbed her shoes as Hector came back with a cold bottle of water.

The group ended up on the beach with a bunch of alcohol drinks which they bought in the store nearby. They were sitting on the sand and laughing.

"Remember that you need to learn me how to play football still, right?" Cassie brought up the promise Marc had made to her and the guy nodded his head.

"Of course, first practice, the day after tomorrow. Won't teach you shit if you'll be hungover, right?" He smiled as not touching any of the drinks.

He was the only driver so it was reasonable he'd stay sober, even though Cassie knew he wanted to drink with his friends as well.

The girl stood up from the sand and reached out her hand to the guy, helping him get up. They walked close to the water, talking.

"You know, i thought you were a total ass for the longest time." Cassie exclaimed as they both stopped. She turned around to him and realised how close the two were.

She glanced at his eyes and then lips, soon connecting them into a kiss. Yet Marc didn't react the way she'd expect him to.

He pulled away fast and stood back, looking at Cassie. His face expressions showed that he was angry, but yet he was do unpredictable.

"Sober up." He spoke quietly and walked away, leaving her behind on the beach. Cassie furrowed her brows and shook her head in confusion.

She knew it was party over for the whole group now. Even when everyone got home and she was laying in her bed, Cassie couldn't figure out why'd he react that way.

She closed her eyes and tried forgetting, but unfortunately she couldn't stop thinking about it.

About him.
