🎧: Illusion (REMIX) - Dua Lipa, The Blaze
"i've been known to miss a red flag"Three days later Cassie and her friends decided to visit London for the first time in their lives. The group were staying at a hotel that was in the center of the city.
The weather there was rather gloomy and cold, so when packing Cassandra made sure to take some coats and hoodies with her.
Since neither of the guys had to go back into training yet, they could fly out here for a short holiday, which was just perfect for Cassie's and Lamine's birthday presents.
The brunette woke up early in the morning and took a warm shower. She then brushed her teeth and did her makeup and hair, followed with a quick outfit change.
(outfit for reference)
She wore a black leather jacket over the sweater and left her room as taking her phone from the nightstand. The girl made her way to the lobby and waited for the rest of her friends.
She sat down on one of the red couches and pulled out her phone to scroll through social media. To her surprise she had three new messages from the contact she hadn't seen in a while:
[marc g]
hey
heard you're visiting in london.
you should come see stamford bridge.don't bother, you won't see me again.
The girl quickly replied as her friends had just caught up with her and were now waiting at the exit. Cassie stood up and walked to them, hearing her phone buzz.
She knew he wanted to see her, maybe even take out on a date, but she wasn't going to just forgive and forget. He had to work this out on his own.
"I don't remember seeing you up this early." Lamine stated as looking at Cassandra. She raised her eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"I'm full of surprises, what can i say." She smirked and winked to him playfully as they were walking outside. The guy laughed and held the door open for her.
"Who were you texting?" He asked as the two were walking behind Hector, Rowan and Pau. "And don't lie." He raised his finger as Cassie opened her mouth.
"Marc. He said we should see Stamford Bridge, and i replied to him saying to not bother and that he won't see me." Cassie spit out honestly as walking beside Lamine.
He listened carefully as keeping up with the group. "Why won't you give him a chance? He clearly wants to talk to you or something."
"I don't know." Cassie replied as holding onto a small charm on her necklace. She got it from Marc on her birthday. It was one of those famous Heidemans.
It was in gold and the colour of the flower was white. She fell in love with it instantly after seeing it, and decided to wear it at all times.
Lamine was right. There was unfinished business Marc and Cassie had with each other. She decided to meet him at the stadium.
The girl was stressed and nervous, only because she didn't know what to expect from the guy. They haven't been alone for months, besides that time on her birthday.
She was waiting at the entrance, with her back facing the door when someone approached her from behind and tapped on her shoulder.
The person's touch sent shivers down her spine, making her turn around instantly. There he was, standing proudly in front of her with a smile.
"I didn't mean to scare you." He apologised. Cassie shook her head and took a deep breath before trying to form a sentence that would make sense.
"What is the reason of you chasing after me." Casandra replied with seriousness in her tone, making it clear that she isn't happy with Marc.
The guy sighed and looked at the girl. "I owe you an explanation." He started as coming closer. "And an apology."
"So talk your shit, i don't have the whole day." Cassie furrowed her eyebrows in anger and crossed her arms, eyeing the guy from head to toes.
He's changed a lot during the time they didn't see each other. Now that she could see him better, she realised his body changed.
He quite literally looked like an athlete now. His hair had grown out but he kept the not so mullet which made Cassandra happy.
"I should've told you i'm going to sign with Chelsea, but instead i ran away like a coward after making you vulnerable with me. I'm sorry Cas." He spoke honestly, making the girl's eyes water.
She blinked the tears away and raised her head high. "You're an absolute idiot, but i've thought it through. I just wanted to hear you say that you're sorry." She replied after a few seconds.
"But i really begun to like you, and it hurt to get to know that you were leaving without a goodbye." She continued as making direct eye contact with him.
"I know, and i'd do things differently now. I was also hoping for us to be friends again, and i meant everyone not just you." He stated, not looking away even for a second.
"We could always try." She proposed as shrugging her shoulders. Hearing those words made Marc smile from ear to ear.
He clearly missed his friend group, and it was obvious he had to work hard to get everyone's trust back, but he was willing to. Or so Cassie thought.
"If whatever we had was real back then, we could try again too." Cassandra added, noticing Marc's behaviour change quickly.
"About that, i'd like you to meet someone. Come." He replied without explaining anything further and grabbed Cassie's hand.
She walked with him freely as they approached the dressing room in Stamford Bridge. The room was bright with blue accents.
"This is my girlfriend, Maria." He introduced as putting his arm around the blonde. Cassie looked at the two with eyebrows furrowed and mouth open.
Her expression was confused and totally lost. She scoffed and eyed the two of them. He was absolutely unbelievable.
Not only did he left without saying anything, but shortly after he started dating someone, and it was just the beginning.
