I was standing at her hospital bed, looking down at the beautiful new born in my best friend's arms. Rose. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl. She was snoring softly and Christina was exhausted. It had been chosen since she first found out about her pregnancy that I would be there for her. That I would be the one holding her hand, and I was. Christina fell asleep with Rose in her arms and I pulled her up, stroked her little forehead and put her down in the temporary crib in the room, I walked out and was looking for the gang.
When they saw me they all stood up a big smile on my lips
"Congratulations, daddy" I said as I hugged Will
"Everything is fine, right?" he asked
"Yes, they are both asleep, you can go in William, she is really beautiful" I said and he hurried down the hall.
We sat in the waiting room a while until Will come running back.
"Tris!" he yelled. I looked up, alarmed
"What's wrong?" I asked
"Nothing, Christina want's to see you
"Don't scare me like this!" I said and laughed. The gang came along to and when I walked in Christina was crying
"What's wrong?" I asked
"She is just so beautiful" she said "I am sorry that you lost yours" she cried. That hurted my heart. My baby girl would have been around four years old. Tobias interlinked our hand togheter, supporting me
"Yeah.. me too" I said
"I wanted to... do you want to be her godparents?" she asked
She wanted me to be a godmother?
"M-me?" I asked
"yes" she said between tears
"I would love to!" and I hugged her. Christina passed Rose over to me and I sat down at her hospital bed
"Welcome to the world, Rose" I said as I pressed my lips to her forehead.
