Kira was jolted awake by a firm shake. Lee was hovering above her.

"We've arrived."

Kira rose from her seat, back aching from her awkward sleeping position. Ink stained one of her sleeves. She had fallen asleep, writing a particularly long report at her desk. She glanced down at the scroll, satisfied to see that she had finished it before she crashed. Kira rolled up her report, tying it with a red piece of string before heading out the door.

She followed Lee outside. The ship had docked. Her team was helping a few hands unload supplies. Poko and Luka joined her and Lee on the way down to the docks.

"Palanquin has been waiting," Poko said, "Although I told them you would most likely decline."

"Any other modes of transportation?"

"Four Komodo Rhinos."

"Dismiss the palanquin. We'll take the Komodo Rhinos."

Kira approached one of the beasts, grasping the reigns before swinging herself on. It huffed and shifted under her legs. Kira patted the head, calming it down. Lee, Luka and Poko took the remaining three, following Kira. They took the main road down to the palace gates.

Kira had left Zhao to his Avatar capturing shenanigans ever since the incident at Crescent Island. She agreed to take the Fire Sage prisoners for Zhao back to the palace, while also ensuring that she could finally get back to her home base before any more time was lost. She had already wasted enough time following the commander around. The Fire Sages were already being transported to a nearby prison upon Kira's order. She had detailed them in her report as well.

Upon entering the palace, Kira slid off the Komodo Rhino. Four attendants rushed to take care of the beasts while Kira and her group entered through the gates. A familiar face passed by Kira, a pair of golden eyes giving Kira a cold glare.

"Princess Azula," Kira murmured, bowing her head. Lee, Poko and Luka did the same behind her.

"Back from your travels?" Azula asked, looking at them up and down, "You reek of the sea."

"How observant," Kira said, straightening herself, "Rumor has it that you may be off on a sea-borne mission soon as well."

Azula's nose wrinkled.

"That's none of your business," she said, turning and walking away with quickened footsteps.

Kira watched her leave, letting out a small sigh.

"Tough crowd," Poko muttered.

"More than that," Kira replied. "Lee, Luka, head back to base. Check on everyone and report back to my room once everything's been offloaded and organized. Poko and I will head back to my room. I'll get freshened up, then meet with the Fire Lord. If I'm not back in my room by then, just wait for me there."

Lee and Luka nodded, heading off in a separate direction. Poko followed Kira down towards the western wing.

Kira pushed open the door to her room. Jia was already inside, one feather duster in hand.

"Oh my!" Jia clasped her hands together. "You're back!"

"Finally," Kira said, a little grouchily.

"The commander kept you busy?"

"Unnecessarily so."
