"..and that's the only thing you have to worry about. unless you have short-term memory", he sets the pen down and slides the paper towards you. the contract, now fixed and beneficial to bth parties, awaits for your signature.

you read it through carefully again, making sure to take in every words and to make sure of the details. narrowing your eyes up and down, you stare at the piece of paper, thinking through your decision. an arrange of all sorts of abilities for a place to live is such a steal that your suspicion still hasn't boiled down completely.

despite asking for his reasonings in different ways, he always seems to picked up on it even if you changed your tone or avoid using keywords. when you asked him why he's so keen on getting a place, his response was logical and in his point of view, it makes sense.

"your area has high concentration of aura, possibly because of how much your servants is using their abilities everyday. outsiders won't know and certain entities won't dare to enter because of how powerful it is. for a low-level, let's say demon, to enter here, it will most likely suffocate itself".

to put it in simpler terms, too much mana will kill you. unless you know how to handle when you take too much mana, you will most likely be killed. in a way, he's warning you of the dangers of becoming a sorceress but he's not letting you go either. does he really wants an apprentice or is he looking for something more ?

"all right then. solomon, what is the differences between mana, aura and energy ? they all sound the same to me" you muttered, the pen resting between your fingers as you awaited for a satisfactory answer.

"oh, oopsy ~ i'm sorry my beloved lady that's lock behind this contract !" solomon smiles cheekily, eagerly pointing at the contract. you squint your eyes at him, glaring with a pursed lips and a raised eyebrow, "a simple question such as that and you couldn't even answer it ?".

he sulks visibly and holds his pen, clicking it over and over with a pout. "but it wouldn't be fair on my part..", he leans back, arms crossed with closed eyes "of course you get to know it but at this rate, you might as well exploit for your own benefit".

he sighs and sits straight, "not to mention, oh i did mention it, it's unfair". his eyes open, the light behind makes his eyes shines a colorful gaze for a second as the pen he's holding suddenly lengthens out, the tip holding your chin up.

"must i prove to you in other means of my capabilities in order for you to sign the contract ? sounds a little tiring.." he huffs, tapping the tip of the pen under your chin. despite his demeanour and attitude, you can see a bit of playfulness on his face.

amused and wanting to know the limit of his skills and what other tricks he can do, you decide to test him. "oh ? go ahead, impress me" you said, chuckling at how quickly his face turned changed.

you smile in return and gesture him to go ahead, after all, you're the one giving away one of the things you prized most, so you might as well get a show out of him.
