(Slight violence)

"Ugh!" Donnie groaned, being slammed into the wall. Thank god for his battle shell being with him. Donnie held his side, looking up at the looming figure. The figure snorted, reaching his hand out for Donnie. Donnie instantly jumped to the side, avoiding his reach. Panting, Donnie shouted out at the figure. "What's a yokai doing for the government?!"

The figure slowly stood up, refusing to respond. "Yeah, I figured." Donnie panted. "And I believed rhinos were faster than turtles!" He threw an insult. The figure remained unaffected, continually moving slowly towards the turtle. "Guess you're just one of those, hah, mutated humans?" Donnie questioned. The figure froze, seemingly to be affected by the question. Donnie gulped. Maybe he pissed him off.

The figure's head lowered down a bit. Sprinting into a burst, the rhino mutant rammed into the wall right after Donnie had thrown himself out of his way. "Just surrender peacefully. Either way, you're still going to loose." The yokai huffed. "Like I would." Donnie huffed back. "Don't say I didn't warn you." The yokai lowered his head down for an another charge.

Donnie forced his legs to push him out of the yokai's way. His sides was hurting. Grimacing in pain, Donnie held one of his side. Looking back at the yokai, Donnie flinched when he saw the rhino looming over him. Instinctively, Donnie threw his hand with the bo-staff, merging it with his ninpo as the rhino reached out for him. "You should be the one who's worried!" Donnie yelled, releasing a burst of his ninpo through the end of the staff. That got the rhino flying to the other side. Trying to catch his breath, Donnie stumbled to get up.

"Don't bother if you're thinking about running away." The yokai spoke. Donnie scoffed at the rhino, rolling his eyes. "Yeah right. Go ahead, stall for time." Donnie grumbled, turning his back to the yokai.

Click.

Donnie flinched, freezing up.

Click. Click.

Donnie slowly turned his head towards the yokai.

Click.

Well. Shit.

Donnie jerked his arm up to shield his face. That only got two darts onto him. Instantly affected by the tranquilizer darts, Donnie wobbled, trying to stay conscious. Shaking his head, Donnie swayed as he attempted to dodge another one. Are these tranquilizer darts modified??

Stumbling backwards, struggling to keep his eyes open, Donnie glanced at the yokai who was surrounded by armed humans. Scowling at the yokai, Donnie's eyes started to flutter. Donnie fell to the ground, unable to move. Twitching, Donnie heard something.

Something familiar.

He wasn't sure who it was but he knew that sound. Was he supposed to be worried?

He was having trouble staying awake. He couldn't think. His mind was foggy and filled with muted buzzing.

He saw something hit the ground before he blacked out.

"Donnie?"

"Donnie! Wake up!"

Being shaken violently, Donnie groaned angrily, weakly slapping away the hand. Wearily pulling himself up, Donnie held his head. His head hurts.

"Donnie oh thank goodness you're alright!"

Donnie looked up from his hand, seeing a figure mixed with green and orange colors. That's got to be Mikey. Donnie's vision focused onto the figure, becoming clearer and clearer.

Mikey.

Taken back from the immense light, Donnie covered his eyes, groaning. "Ohhh my god. Tell me where I am, please." Mikey worriedly tried to shield Donnie's eyes from the light. "You don't remember?" Mikey asked, surprised.

"No. Why would I?" Donnie asked confused. "You said you were heading out to the junkyard. You weren't back by sunset so I had Raph and Leo come look for you with me." Mikey explained. "I just found you lying unconsciously here on the ground. I sent the text to Leo and Raph so they should be here soon." Mikey said, tapping onto his wrist cuff.

Donnie held his head. He felt like he had a hungover. "Are you alright Donnie?" Mikey asked, genuinely worried. Donnie nodded, snapping his hand away from his head. "Nothing you should be worried about." Donnie replied.

"Donnie!!" Raph shouted, scurrying past the piles of scrap and almost running over Leo. Raph dropped down to his knees besides Donnie, grabbing his wrist.

"Uh, you do realize it's not necessary to check my vitals if I'm still breathing in your face." Donnie flatly said, gesturing his hand in front of Raph's face. Raph huffed, annoyed at the comment.

"What happened to you anyways?!" Raph asked, gripping onto Donnie's shoulders. Wincing a bit from the pain, Donnie gently pushed off Raph's hands. "I'm okay. As it seems." Donnie answered.

Raph frowned. "Then tell me why you were just laying unconscious on the junkyard!" Raph's voice was now firm. Donnie turned away, grabbing his bo-staff and brushing off his legs. "Oh I don't know, just taking a nap?" Donnie shrugged.

Growling, Raph grabbed Donnie's arm. Wincing from the sudden pressure, Donnie yelled, "Ow! Hey Raph!" That didn't snap Raph back. "Why aren't you being truthful to us?! We're you're brothers! We're here to help you! I'm here to help!" Raph demanded. Donnie silently growled at Raph, his wrist was squirming in pain through Raph's grip.

"Woah woah woah. Chill out big guy." Leo chimed in, gently grabbing onto Raph's arms. "No Leo. You stay out of this." Raph barked. Leo instantly put his hands off in surrender, shocked by Raph's aggressive behavior. Raph would usually snap back right after and try to keep his cool down, tending to his family's injuries first. This was new to them.

Raph turned back to Donnie, his grip was unconsciously getting tighter. Muttering under his breath, Donnie tried to keep his voice and breathing steady. "Raph-a-la, we can talk about this later alright? I would greatly appreciate it if you let go of me right now."

"Raph!!" Mikey yelled. Raph's expression changed, his grip loosened. Donnie immediately snapped his wrist out of Raph's hand, rubbing it. "Donnie. I'm sorry, I didn't-"

"Yeah I know Raph." Donnie said, turning away.

The silence was dreadful.

"Let's go back to the Turtle Tank." Raph finally spoke. His voice was soft. Raph and Leo was first to leave. Mikey waited a little bit for Donnie. "It's okay Mikey. I'll catch up to you guys in a second." Donnie reassured him, though it didn't really help. Mikey just silently nodded then left.

Facepalming himself, Donnie groaned. He grabbed his bo-staff before heading back to the Turtle Tank.
