Ep 20 - Discovery

((Had to get rid of my phone due to possibility of battery exploding so you might notice some changes))

The masked mutant let out a laugh as he spun around, his arms raised in the air in giddy. "Splendidful place! "

Ben accidentally bumped into a yokai during his spin, receiving a not-so very friendly growl, a snarl, or whatever this squid-like monster is referred to.

"Jeez... Touchy." Ben frowned, lowering his eyes as he watched the yokai slither... slide past by him.

Well, not that he was going to let that ruin his mood. It's all thanks to that old lady he found in an alleyway that he found this... Hidden City!

There were tons of yokais, millions even! To believe such place exists right below New York!

It was just like... human culture....

Ben shook his head, dispelling his thoughts. Right, remember why you're here. Ben turned his head to notice a fountain with some open spots. Ben's fox mask smiled as he leaped over the crowd of yokais, landing near one of the benches. Perfect. He thought as he slumped onto the bench with one leg over the other.

He crossed his arms, letting a click slip through his mouth. Serious mode, activated.

Ben sat there with eyes closed for a while before letting out a groan, placing a hand on top of his head. Curse these joke thoughts. I NEED ideas on how to get armor! Ben raised his hands out, staring at them irritated.

He leaned back into the bench, turning his head to the side. "I suppose I'll have a look around. "

" Greatly appreciated, Señor Hueso. " Leo smiled, grabbing onto the pizza boxes. " And as usual, put it on the tab! " Hueso rolled his eyes. " Right. your so-claimed tab. "

Leo spun around on his heels as he started making way to the doors until he heard Hueso call out to him. Leo turned around, letting out a hm? in response. " If I may ask, what happened to your arm? "

Leo glanced at his bandaged arm. Oh right. That. " Oh, nothing too serious. Don't get your bones racking, alright Señor Hueso? " Hueso let out an annoyed scoff in response to Leo's answer.

" Anyways, I really gotta get these pizzas delivered. Wouldn't want to ruin that 5-star review! " Leo stuck a thumb towards the doors before turning around again. Hueso eyed Leo's bandaged arm but let out a sigh of defeat as Leo exited through the doors.

Great, now Hueso's onto me. Leo frowned after he exited Hueso's restaurant.

Juuuust great. Leo stopped in his tracks. Taking a glance side to side, he let out a puff. I was supposed to portal...

Oh well. A little walk in the Hidden City couldn't hurt, right?

Yeah. I should reaallyy go back before Raph busts out his lecture of 61 reasons why I shouldn't be staying out late. I can already hear his brain creaking his worry gears right now.

Leo glances around, searching for an available empty alleyway through the crowds. A freezing chill ran down his spine, jolting from it. " Ah- "

Leo's hands fumbled as he tried to maintain the stacked pizza boxes' balance. After muttering a quick sorry from a yokai he nearly bumped into, Leo hugged onto the pizza boxes stack and instinctively turned to the side.
