There was a trill of beeps followed by blaring. Donnie lifted his head from the desk, blinking to focus his eyes on the red screen. Staring blankly, Donnie groaned and groggily rubbed his face to work his face up. ' Must've fallen asleep'  He pinched his nose bridge and blinked again, leaning in forward to the screen.

Donnie sighed and pushed against the desk, his chair sliding away with a slow spin. Donnie stretched his arms and stood up, looking over to his clock. ' Oh my god, it's too early to do this.'

Donnie snatched his phone off the desk, typing down something with his thumb and setting it aside. Donnie walked over to his battle shell, releasing it and adjusting it onto his back.  He grabbed the tech-bo staff and his phone, exiting his room.

" What kind of a maniac jumps the botanical garden's alarm this early?! Leo groaned, rubbing his eyes and looking over to Donnie.

" Maybe they just wanted to see the plants! Mikey chimed in, sleepily walking into the room. Raph shortly followed after him, scooping up his tired lil' box turtle with eyes closed. He sat on the floor, too tired to be moving around. " If they really wanted to see the plants, coulda done it in the morning when it's open.Raph drowsily responded.

Donnie spared a moment to stare at the tired turtles before tapping on his wrist cuff, willing to spare them a minute or two to get themselves up. Considering that botanical gardens usually doesn't have much value, that is. Other than prehistoric and the verge of the extinctio- oh my god. I really do not have the time to be rambling on and-  Donnie slapped himself to get his mind to shut up.

Ouch.

It was a very much a needed wake-up slap for Donnie.

Leo wrapped his arm around Donnie's neck, pulling him in with a punch at Donnie's arm. Donnie scowled at Leo in response. " So! I'm sure you got the footage from the...Leo whipped out his phone for a quick check. " Botanical garden?"

" Yes. Yes I do." Donnie said in a monotone voice. " We can check it on the way there. Could be the Foot clan for all we know. Donnie rested his tech-bo staff on his shoulder as he shrugged away Leo's arm. " Sounds good enough."

Donnie forced the sleepy turtles to step into their turtle tank and he received groans in return. He had to make sure Raph didn't press the red buttons as last time had made the  tank go into lockdown for a whole grueling day. Leo flopped onto the armrest of a chair, seemingly too lazy to properly sit. Raph laid across the biggest chair with Mikey curled up on him. It seemed horrifyingly uncomfortable but he couldn't complain.

" Remember the last time we went to the garden...?" Mikey sighed dearly. Raph lets out an amusing soft chuckle. " Yeah. Can't forget that flower's stink." Raph scrunched up his face as if he was thinking about the smell. Leo gave out a tired feeble laugh, waving his hand. " Ohhh yeah. Definitely can't miss out on seeing Raph taking a whiff of that stink."

Donnie joined in the conversation as he pressed on a few keys of the tank console, starting up the tank. " Corpse flower is indeed one of a kind. Instead of having bright colors or a sweet fragrance smell like most flowers, it imitates the smell of rotting corpses or meat to simply attract bugs like flies. It isn't exactly a defense mechanism but a way to attract. It is truly a remarkable plant." Donnie went on of his geeking info dumps before Leo cut him off because none of them was taking it with their sleep deprived brains.

Donnie gave a scoff, seeming to mock the turtles for their so called sleep deprivation.

" Anyways...." Leo started, letting his head drop backwards to look at Donnie. " About the security footage?" Donnie glanced at Leo before he started to tap on his wrist cuff. Mikey blinked, staring at the wrist cuff." Who do you think it might be?" He wondered.

" Could be the Foot. They're the most troublesome we have to deal with." Raph shrugged. Leo did a strange expression but he didn't say anything. Donnie walked over to his seat, his wrist cuff giving out a few beeps. A purple rectangle popped up from it. Donnie did a hand gesture to make it larger, large enough for everyone to see.

Raph leaned in, squinting his eyes. The garden from the camera's view was strangely empty except for the red hues of alarms going on and off on repeat. " Go to the next one." Raph glanced at Donnie.

Donnie swiped his hand at the purple screen. It was a camera on a some kind of building structure. Empty again. Donnie swiped again. It was the one that showed the statue in the center surrounded by bushes. Something moved in the corner of the view, behind one of the bushes. The four turtles stared at that specific spot, tracking any small signs of movement.

Something shifted. Again.

A very familiar  figure was bundling over the rows of bushes, jittering around the garden with his tail trailing behind him. Groups of people came roaring after him with gardening tools, whether it was a trowel, a mower, or pruning shears in their hands.

Raph's expression eased to an expression of disbelief. He looked back up to Donnie as if he was demanding for an explanation. Donnie promptly looked back at him, shrugging.

Raph sighed and leaned back into his seat, rubbing his face. Leo did a groan, clearly not wanting to deal with this trouble. Mike did not want to show it but his face partially gave it away.

Leo leaned back, throwing his hand out to the digital screen. " Why do we have to deal with this guy?! The police can handle it, no?" Leo grumbled, crossing his arms with a grump huff. " Well, while we're pretty close to the destination, might as well deal with it." Donnie glanced over to the screen displayed in front of the tank. Leo groaned.

The tank came to a halt, tires screeching as it nearly toppled over upon the stop. The door slowly opened, each turtle stepping out with their own weapons. Donnie hummed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song as he waited for the door to slowly close back up.

Raph climbed over the gate, Mikey did some bouncing parkour over it, Leo simply portaled to the other side, and Donnie used his tech shell to propel over it. Raph gave Leo a look. " What? Portaling is safe and 100% sound free!" Leo held up his hands, almost cutting his face off accidentally.

" Couldn't offer to teleport us too?" Raph shook his head, lifting his hands up with a suggestive shrug. Leo shrugged back, returning a look that said 'didn't ask for it'. Raph rolled his eyes and looked over to the garden.

" Alright Mad Dogs. Let's roll out!" Raph punched his hands together.
