In 1925 Europe, a young French black woman known as Vanessa escapes her stormy past by suddenly leaving the only life she knows back in France.
Catching trains with currency she earns through newly becoming a prostitute, she travels north-west thro...
"Vanessa?" Tommy gulps, trying his best to relax in a warm bath after the hellish day he went through yesterday. "Can you get my back?"
Vanessa dips the wash rag into the sudsy bath water, quietly catering to her man as she washes his body and avoids his newest injury.
The two don't say much to each other...
Vanessa can tell by the way his eyes wander the room that his mind isn't present at the moment. She is sure that he's thinking about out of all of the men in the Peaky Blinders, which one has betrayed his trust.
"You saved my life." Tommy quietly begins a conversation.
Nessa washes down his strong arms, wetting his handsome olive skin.
"I know." She agrees. "But you still need to check with a hospital Tommy. You need to make sure nothing happened internally."
He sighs. "I will... As soon as the vendetta ends, as soon as the mafia is either dead or headed back to New York City. But until then it'll have to wait."
Vanessa becomes quiet again... Clearly unimpressed with his answer.
"What is it Nessa?" Tommy asks.
She frowns. "I fucking hate guns."
Tommy chuckles. "Me too love, me too."

While Tommy takes opium for his pain today, Vanessa has him babysit as she does the outside errands that are needed for the day.
She takes her basket as she heads out on foot, gone shopping at the street markets in Bull Ring, Birmingham for more painkillers and fresh ingredients for tonight's pot roast.
As Vanessa is out and about, Tommy takes the day off.
He rebandages his wound, hissing in pain as he accidentally presses on his bruised-purple skin. He carries Charlie around in the arm that isn't sore, and they enjoy a father and son day together.
Charlie shows his daddy the French words he has learned and they spend the day mostly playing with toys and snuggling.
